Background As we know, each individual employee is an integral part of an organization. Each plays his/her role towards the total performance of the organization. The success and progress of the organization rides on the success and progress of its people. Employees who are committed to learning and growing are a competitive edge. The continuous management of the performance of an individual and the organization is the answer to a successful partnership between the individual and the organization. Performance management is essential to building successful teams and organizations. Performance management involves the creation of an open and interactive work environment which supports the development of skills in employees. It involves building rapport, giving feedback and motivating people using various techniques. This program has been designed to help the managers to design the robust performance management system and also designing the variable pay system on the basis of employee’s performance. Objectives

Methodology Besides core faculty from IMT, practicing corporate managers will be leading the deliberations. Being situated in the National Capital Region, we have the advantage of drawing facilities/Resources, personnel from New Delhi and other adjoining areas. The programme delivery will have a judicious mixture of interactive lectures, case studies, exercises, presentations, panel discussions and experience sharing. Selected background reading and group work will supplement this. For Whom The programme is designed for managers, Functional Executives and Department/Section Heads from Private, Public and Multi National Corporations (MNCs) who are concerned managing the performance of employees. Venue & Duration The program is scheduled from May 17 to 19, 2010 as a three‐ day workshop at IMT Campus, Raj Nagar, Hapur Road, Ghaziabad‐201001. Accommodation at IMT Campus would be available from the noon of May 16, 2010 to the noon of May 20, 2010. Registration & Fees Rs 15,000/‐ per participant. This includes academic fees, program kit for participants, breakfast, lunch and dinner with accommodation, on twin sharing basis. Rs 500/‐ per day less for those who opt out for non‐residential arrangement. Organizations nominating more than 5 (five) participants will be given a special rebate of Rs. 1,000/‐ per candidate. Payment should be made by crossed demand draft in favour of “Institute of Management Technology”, Ghaziabad. Last Date The last date for withdrawal of nomination is May 8, 2010. Any withdrawal received after this date will be subject to deduction as per the Institute’s rule. Singh holds M.A. (Hit.) degree from Patna University and M.A. & (L.S.W.) & L L B from Ranchi University. He did his MBA, (condensed) from IIM,Calcutta. He worked in various capacities in SAIL, RINL and lastly at NALCO, from where he retired as Director (Personnel). Besides exposure to a number of national & international training programmes, he completed Advance Management programme from ASCI, Hyderabad. Prof. Singh is widely traveled, which includes visits to South‐ east Asia , Middle‐ east Asia., Europe, USA, Canada , Japan & Australia. He was the Chairman of Utkal chapter of NIPM for two consecutive terms and is also life member of NIPM. He is also associated with HRD Network of India & ISTD, holding the post of co‐Chairman of the Diploma Board of ISTD . He is also associated with many management institutes like ASCI, IIMC, XIMB, FORE, LBS, IGNOU as a visiting faculty. Prof. Singh’s last assignment was Professor HRM, MDI, Gurgaon. He has above 45 publications on HR, IR & General Management topics and a book ‘Industrial Relation: Emerging Paradigms to his credit. He does consultancy and training with MUL, Hero‐Honda, IPCL, BALCO, SAIL, KPMG, SBI, AAI etc. He is in the editorial Boards of several managements schools and ‘AWARD’, a national journal published by V.V.Giri National Labour Institute. Dr. Bindu Gupta is Ph.D. in Psychology with specialization in Organizational Behavior from India Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. She has experience of nearly fifteen years in the areas of teaching and research. At present, Dr. Bindu Gupta is a faculty member in the area of organizational behavior and Human Resource Management at Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, India. She teaches organizational behavior, organization theory, performance management and training and development. She has authored various papers that appeared in reputed national and international journals. She also has been the editors of three books. She has organized International conferences and presented papers in national and international conferences. She has been actively involved in training and consultancy. She is a qualified trainer of MBTI. Being a psychologist she has keen interest and expertise in assessing and understanding individuals. She has been avid user of different psychometric tools, exercises and management games during the training of working professionals.
