Grade 9 learner Tony Guo participated in the South African Junior Closed Championships after being tied in first with 3 other players. In the playoffs Tony had to play all 3 play-ers again with a time control of 5 minutes. He did very well and beat all 3 players to become the 2012 U/14 South African Junior Closed Champion.
