DEFINITION

Is a tool that can change the form of the

drug solution into an aerosol continuously

with energy from compressed air orultrasonic waves.

Reduce shortness of breath.

Diluting the mucus.

Reduce / eliminate bronchospasm.

HOW TO WORK

Works by vaporization. With the help of electric power, the drug solution

was changed into a vapor that is inhaled with aspecial mask.

Odorless, it's like breathing air.

Vaporization therapies approximately 5-10minutes, 3-4 times a day.

Can be used in infants from the age of 0 months,children, and adults.

Treatment is more effective because it directlyinhaled into the lungs.

Pulmicort: a combination of anti-inflammatorydrugs that loosening the airways.

NaCl: dilute the sputum / secretions.

Bisolvon Liquid: dilute the sputum. Atroven : loosening the airway.

Berotex: loosening the airway.

Inflamin : anti-inflammatory. Combiven : loosening the airway.

Ventolin : loosening the airway.

THE WAY GIVING NEBULIZER

a. Tools preparation

The nebulizer device with a mask.

Oxygen tube complete with flow meterand humidifier.

Drug.

Syringe. Writing instruments.

b. Patient preparation

Explain the procedure.

Prepare a safe environment and lower thecurtain.

c. Steps

Giving to the patient a comfortable position.

Wash your hands.

Connect the nebulizer mask with thenebulizer device.

Controls whether the hose, mask, nebulizer

device is functioning properly. Took the the drug as the program and

put it into drugs tube in the mask or nebulizerdevice.

Attach the face mask match with the clientcover the nose and the mouth.

Turn on the nebulizer device with the switchin position "ON".

Evaluate client response.

Trim and clean the client. Wash your hands.

Document it.
