NDP with changebook

Ursini only nominated candidate in Welland

NEWS:WELLAND – Tonight, Welland PCcandidate Domenic Ursini talked about the

change and tax relief that an Ontario PC

government will deliver for families and

small business through changebook. In a

speech to local supporters at the Welland

PC riding Annual General Meeting, Ursini

outlined the three key commitments in

changebook:1 - Providing relief for hardworking families

by lowering income taxes and taking theHST off hydro and home heating bills;

2 - Focussing government on frontline



services such as health care and education

while encouraging small business growth;

and3 - Cleaning up government by stopping

Dalton McGuinty’s scandals, waste and

secret deals.

City Council, and managed the Small

Business and Professional Banking

department for one of Canada’s major

banks. On a daily basis, he helps small

businesses create and sustain well-paying jobs.

- Changebook will give families $275 in

immediate relief by removing the provincial



portion of the HST from hydro and home

heating bills, and

removing the Debt Retirement Charge fromhydro bills. Changebook will also lower

taxes on middle class families: 5% on the

first $75,000 of taxable income. That’s $258

dollars in tax relief for a person earning

$70,000.

- Even after signing a pledge not to raise

taxes, Dalton McGuinty has raised taxes

again and again, including through his HST

tax grab and sneaky eco tax. Over a

decade where the private sector has

struggled to grow at all, Dalton McGuinty

has inflated Ontario’s government by 77%.
