CPA were approached by a client who was struggling to maintain the

temperatures required through out the height of the building within their

warehouse facility. Measurements were taken over several months highlighting

a temperature variance of up to 16⁰C.

With the installation of four High Volume, Low Speed (HVLS) Low Energy,

Thermal Control Ceiling Fans, supplied and installed by CPA, the temperature

variance is now on average 5⁰C to 6⁰C, an improvement of 10⁰C. These HVLS

ceiling fans are designed to move a large volume of air with their size rather

than their speed. In this application the HVLS fans destratify the warm air

trapped at ceiling level back down to occupied levels, equalising the

temperature between floor and ceiling. This has significantly reduced energy

consumption.

Enershield Air Barrier Off Enershield Air Barrier On

An Enershield Air Barrier creates up to a 90% seal across an open doorway by recirculating ambient air.

The seal separates the atmospheres on either side preventing the transfer of temperature, dust,

humidity, odours and insects.

The effectiveness of Enershield air barrier (in preventing heat loss and the ingress of cold air) is clearly

illustrated by these thermal images.

New legislation is coming into place on 1st January 2015 enforcing the

removal and replacement R22 refrigerant gas. After 1st January 2015,

you can still operate equipment which uses R22 however maintenance

and/or repair of the refrigerant circuit will be illegal.

Not all refrigeration equipment uses R22. For further information or to

months internal temperatures were dropping to as low as 5 or 6°C. We struggled to resolve our problem

The first bespoke Enershield Air Barrier unit bound for Bahrain wrapped in the national flag. All Enershield units can be designed and built to suit our clients needs.

CPA Engineered Solutions have been awarded with the Safe Contraction Accreditation for another year.

CPA provide new compressors resulting in 42%

energy savings.

After carried out a detailed air energy audit to determine the current operational costs as well as the energy, electrical and air consumption of the clients current fixed speed compressors, CPA removed these three existing fixed-speed compressors and replaced them with two variable speed Gardner Denver VS90 compressors, programmed to run in a duty/standby configuration.
