PanaGrit™ is manufactured from high carbon castPanaShot™ steel shots, crushed to granular grit form andsubsequently tempered to three different hardnesses(GH, GL and GP) to cater for different applications.

After tempering the grit is mechanically screened toproduce 10 grades conforming to SAE standard specifi-cations for blasting grits.

Grades of differing sizes and/or hardnesses specifi-cally for specialised applications, ie roll etching, granitecutting are also produced.

PanaGrit™ is produced under a controlled manufacturing process to achieve a.:t;product of uniform hardness, density and microstructure; coupled with good tough- ~ness for durability. is

1iiThese factors result in an abrasive of correct hardness and shape to perform its E

cleaning function as well as an extended abrasive life. J'"'"PanaGrit™ is widely used as a media for descaling steel components prior to coat- G

ing. In this application the media is used almost exclusively in compressed air, recov- 1'J

ery blast rooms. The angular shape and relative hardness of PanaGrit™ ensures rapid ~cleaning rates and excellent recyclability. b

'"PanaGrit™ is also widely used in the foundry casting industry to remove sand from 1;castings when the castings have been exposed to ultra high temperatures and the ~sand is baked on to such an extent that steel shot cannot remove it. :::
