This Portion starts with the words; “… Go in unto Pharaoh; for Ihave hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that I mightshow these signs before him ”. Go (bo) is first used in Scripture inGen 2:19 where YHVH formed every creature “out of the ground”

and brought them (bo) to Adam so that he could name them. Wewill see one of the plagues that will come ‘”out of the ground”and be presented to man (Adam) to see what he will call it. The

word “call” means to “appoint, call out” and “to proclaim”. Thesethings that will come out of the earth will have an effect on man and

YHVH wanted to see if man will ”call out” to Him, proclaim Him as God andsaviour when confronted with this plague. The intent of the plagues are tobreak the stubborn hearts of man and to confront them so that they can repentand proclaim Him as the one and only true God.

The Last Plagues Last week we looked at the first 7 Plagues and this week we will conclude withthe last three Plagues.

Q – Who is the “star”, what is the “bottomless pit” and what do these locustsrepresent?

There is mention in Revelation of stars that will becast down on earth, as well as mention of theDragon, the Devil that will be cast to the earth. Thisis found in Revelation 12 where a 1/3 of the angelswill be cast upon the earth with Satan.

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out —that serpent of old called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world. He was cast outonto the earth, and his angels were cast out withhim.

This means that the “star” that fell from heaven was the Dragon, Satan. He wasremoved form the presence of YHVH and cast onto the earth with his angels to

become part of the judgements upon man during the time of Tribulation. He wasgiven the key to unlock the bottomless pit to release wicked fallen angels thatwere bound until the day of judgement. These fallen angels had the appearanceof locusts as described in Rev 9:4-12.

Rev 9:4-12 4 And it was commanded to them thatthey should not hurt the grass of the earth, neitherany green thing, neither any tree, but only thosemen who have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

5 And to them it was given that they should not killthem, but that they should be tormented five

months; and their torment was as the torment of ascorpion when he strike a man. 6 And in those daysshall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shalldesire to die, and death shall flee from them. 7 Andthe shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared for battle; and on their heads were, as itwere, crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8 And they had hair as the hair ofwomen, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.9 And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of theirwings was as the sound of chariots with many horses running to battle.

    10

And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stingers in theirtails; and their power was to hurt men five months. 11 And they had a kingover them, the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrewtongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue his name is Apollyon. 12 Onewoe is past; and behold, there come two more woes hereafter.

According to the Book of Enoch, there is a Prophecy that describes Nephilim orFallen Angels that are bound in the earth, under the mountains. The prophecystates that they will be released 70 generations after the Noah’s Flood.Scientists estimate the event of the Flood to have happened approximately 2900BC. If you count 70 generations from there, you come to the year 2009 making

this a possible date from which we can expect this to happen. (the calculationscan be out by couple of years).

Can this be the “Alien” deception thatHollywood is brainwashing us with? The“Alien Agenda” has been promoted throughSiFi movies to make us familiar with“supernatural beings” and depict them as

Aliens, not fallen Angels as the prophecysuggests. What is also interesting is thestory line of each of these Alien moviesdepicts Aliens as a “super intelligentsuperior beings” that has come to destroy

the Earth because of man’s evil and destruction of the earth. They allowhumans to work with them in exchange for their “salvation” and if theysucceed, then the Earth will be spared. This is the Alien Agenda and ispromoted by the Papacy as well, where the Vatican stated that we have torethink our salvation, because Aliens are a “higher form of life” that is “closerto God” and they can act as mediators between man and God.

This makes the Alien Agenda deception very dangerous in the last days, because as soon as the Fallen Angels (Locusts) appear, people would havebeen “conditioned” by Hollywood to worship and obey these beings as asuperior race called Aliens. They will do anything to help them in exchangefor their salvation. Does this sound like an Anti-Messiah (in the place ofMessiah) agenda?

The “locusts” had a king over them with the name Apollyon. This comes form the Hebrew Abaddon that meansDestroyer and is linked in several passages to “Seol” or the“Realm of the Dead”. The Greek name Apollyon is related to

the Greek god Apollo, who was the son of Zeus. He was thegod of music, and he is often depicted playing a golden lyre.He was also known as the Archer, far shooting with a silverbow; the god of healing, giving the science of medicine toman; the god of light; and the god of truth. One of Apollo'smost important daily tasks was to harness his four-horsechariot, in order to move the Sun across the sky. The

picture of the Anti-Messiah is that of a man clothed in white riding on a whitehorse with a bow in his hand. These attributes sounds very similar to theattributes of the Real Messiah; the one on the white horse with a sword, theOne that heals, the Word that is the Truth and the Son of YHVH.

    9) Darkness : Exo 10:22 - Moses stretched forthhis hand toward heaven, and there was a thickdarkness in all the land of Egypt for three days. This darkness was not only perceived with theeyes, but could be felt. How can darkness befelt? This word for darkness is found in Gen 1:2were it describes the time before creationwhere the earth was void and without form. Then the Spirit of YHVH moved over the face ofthe deep. It is like “Creation in reverse” where

the second verse of Creation connects with the second last plague uponEgypt.

We get more information from Rev 8:12. This is where the fourth angelsounded and a third part of the sun, a third part of the moon and a third partof the stars were smitten, so that a third part of them were darkened;causing a third part of the day and the night not to shine. We see similaritiesbetween Egypt and the Last day judgements where the whole of Egypt were

darkened except the land of Goshen similar to Revelation where only a 1/3part of light were affected.

There is another reference to the darkness that will come upon the Earth andthat is found in Rev 16:10 where the fifth angel poured out his vial upon theseat of the beast, then his kingdom was filled with darkness and theygnawed their tongues from pain. The recreation or restoration of YHVH’screation involves pain similar to a birth process as described in Matt 24,talking about birth pains.

What is interesting is that the sun, moon and stars are also found in theCreation story and it is as if YHVH is busy restoring back His Creationthrough these plagues on the earth. What confirms this is what we saw lastweek, is that the 7 th Plague is connected to the 7 th Angel sounding histrumpet. Then we “count down” form the 6 th to the 5 th Angels that soundedto allow the plague of the locusts. Now we see the 5 th Angel pouring out hisvial and the 4 th Angel sounding his trumpet, releasing the darkness. It is as ifYHVH reversed the sequence from the 7 th Plague, “counting down” to thelast Plague, making the 7 th plague the last and the 10 th plague the 1 st . The10 th plague is then the 1 st step towards His Restoration of Creation process.

    10) Death of Firstborn : The whole of chapter 12explains the detail of the Passover that will beobserved as a memorial by the children of Israelfrom that day on, throughout their generationsforever. As stated earlier, this is a reverse mirrorimage of the events leading from the 10 th Plague, back to the 7 th Plague, which is the climax of all thePlagues. This concept is confirmed by the 7 th day, which is the climax of Creation, the time to enterinto His Rest.

In Hebrew the number 10 and 1 are seen as the same making the 10 th Plaguethe 1 st “sign and wonder” or step that you have to take in order to be part of

the “restoration of creation” that is happening in the last days as propheticallyrevealed in the Plagues of the Exodus. You have to take the First Step inorder to meet Y’shua as your Saviour before He reveals Himself at the 7 th Plague /Trumpet. Those who miss this 1 st step will then meet Him as theirJudge. This 1 st step has to do with the 3 Festivals that are interlinked witheach other; Unleavened Bread, Passover and First Fruits. These were thethree Festivals that revealed the Messiah as the Saviour to the Jews. TheBook of Revelation starts with this phrase “The Revelation of Y’shua theMessiah” and contains a lot of sigs and wonders, judgements and plagues. Inthe same way we see Y’shua revealed in the Book of Exodus, where Y’shuais revealed as the Messiah through signs, wonders, judgements and plagues. The 10 th plague reveals Him as the Messiah, the Saviour and Passover Lamband the Book of Revelation reveals Him as Messiah, the Judge and King.

Those who kept everything that is written in this Book (Exodus), were blessedand received Salvation. Rev 1:3 sates the same; “ Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things whichare written therein; for the time is at hand. Remember it is only the 7 th Plaguethat is called a Plague, the rest are called signs and wonders, similar to signs

and wonders Y’shua did at His First Coming, so that unbelievers can see andbelieve. In the same way the “signs and wonders” in Revelation are not forbelievers, but for unbelievers so that they can see and believe that Y’shua isthe Messiah; Saviour, Judge and King.

The Sign of the Passover Lamb that ispreceded by the time of cleansing (repenting)called Unleavened Bread. This is where all theleaven had to be taken out of the house beforepartaking in the Passover Lamb. It is a time ofintrospection where you have to search for

“leaven” (sin) and repent it before YHVH. Thiswill prepare you for the coming of Messiah, where your houses, families and lives will becleansed from all worldly “Egyptian” ways andyour garment will be without spot or wrinkle.

Unleavened bread is a 7 day Feast where you have to cleanse your homeprior to the 7 days and not eat leaven during these 7 days. Leavenrepresents sin and taking sin out of your life is symbolised by “thin bread” orMatzah, that is the opposite of the Fat Bread of King Agag – the king of theflesh and the one influenced by the false Holy Spirit called Puach. (see lastweeks Portion for detail on this).

After sacrificing the Lamb, they had to apply the blood on the doorpost oftheir houses so that “Death could Pass them Over”. The blood is for YHVHto see as a sign on the house (your life) and the Lamb is for those inside thehouse so that they can eat and have strength for the journey ahead.

Another important thing to understand is that Messiah is both the “Blood”(Lamb) and the “Bread” (Word). Some only want to know Him as the Lamb inorder to paint their doorposts to make them safe from death but they neverwant to “eat the Lamb” (Word) making them weak, bound in Egypt. Theremight have been people who applied the blood but never left. You are not

fully “saved” if you have not left Egypt and you cannot leave Egypt if youhaven’t eaten the lamb (Word).

The Lamb and the GospelThe Blood takes you from death to life, but theLamb takes you from slavery to freedom. Thepurpose of the Lamb was to give them strengthbecause they had a long way to travel and thePassover Meal was to give them the strength toleave Egypt and travel to the Mountain.

Unfortunately only one half of this truth is taught tobelievers today where they accept the message ofthe Blood but not the message of the Passover Lamb, the message that set

    (

you free from slavery, the message of the Mountain. The only way to setcaptives free is by giving them the Truth and the Truth can only be found atthe Mountain and the only way to reach the Mountain is to leave Egypt. You have to feed upon His Word, the Body and essence of Who He is, inorder to be set free from slavery, sin and death.

The Lamb had to be prepared well; roasted over fire, not eaten raw, notboiled. The Lamb represents the Gospel Message of Messiah; it needs to bepresented in such a way that it can be well received by people. It shouldnever be “raw”, a basic message, which is unprepared and not well presentedwith a lack of understanding of the foundational truth. It should not be boiled, soaked in water and “watered down” so that the essence of the message islost and only revolves about love and grace without repentance. It should beroasted in fire. Fire represents purification. This message is a message thatwill change you and purify you as through fire.

The Lamb has to be eaten in its entirety, not just the head, not just the legs or

the parts you like. In the same way you need to receive the whole message, not just the parts you like for example salvation, grace, prosperity andhealing. This is a message that is well balanced in the truth with all theaspects of Repentance, Salvation and Purification that will lead to a life ofHoliness and Relationship with the Father.

Applying the Blood on the Door

They used a bundle of hyssop as a paintbrush toapply the blood of the Lamb to the doorpost made upof the lintel, that is the top horizontal part and twosides are called “Mezzuzot” or doorposts. The bloodwas applied to all three parts on the outside whilethey went inside and celebrated the Passover withtheir families. The way the blood is applied make upthree different Hebrew letters; Chet, Hey and Tav:

    1. ‰ - Chet – Means life – Number 8 that means “new beginnings”. ThePassover Feast is about starting a new life with YHVH where He givesyou another chance and a new beginning.

    2. † - Hey – Means Light, Revelation and is the sound of Breath that meansRuach or Spirit of YHVH. – Number 5 that means Grace. YHVH bestowedHis grace upon us through the Lamb that died in our place as well asgiving us His Spirit that reveals His Truth to us.

    3. œ -Tav – Means cross – Number 400 means “work of theMessiah”. The “Tav” represents the death of Messiah andthrough His redemptive work, we do not have to die.

The door consists of 3 parts and if you take away any of the three, the door will collapse. The two doorposts and lintel gives us apicture of what Faith looks like. This picture is found in Exodus 17

where Israel fought against Amalek and Aaron and Hur had to holdup the hands of Moses; when Moses’ arms were elevated, Israelwon, when his arms got tired and he lowered them, Amalek won.

  • 8/20/2019 Parashah 15- Bo (Go)

    8/11

    )

This picture of Moses holding up his staff with the support is similar to the lintelheld up by the two doorposts. Through faith you uphold the staff (truth) in orderto overcome the flesh (Amalek – Sin & Bondage).

The Doorposts and lintel are covered with the Blood of the Lamb, who is theTruth and the Door that leads the way to the Father. Faith is the word “ amunah ”

that comes form the root word “ aman ” that means Truth. The purpose of Truthand Faith is to overcome the flesh that leads to bondage and sin (Egypt). Allthese concepts are related and interweaved and symbolised by the Door, theDoorpost and the Blood, all leading and pointing to the Father.

The three letters formed by the blood on the doorpost,Chet – Tav – Hey, spell the word “ chatah ”, that means,“heap up and snatch away”. This word is found 4 timesin Scripture and the first time is in Proverbs 25:21-22.“ If your enemy is thirsty, give him something to

drink… and he shall heap (chatah) coals on his head ! ”. We are all familiar with

this passage where Paul teaches in Rom 12:20 on the body that needs to be aliving sacrifice as well as to do good to others, even if they do bad things to us.

The context of this passage in Proverbs contains the two elements seen in the7 th plague, namely water (to drink) and fire (coals their head). The purpose ofthe 7 th plague is to reveal the Messiah to us as we have seen in last week’sTorah Portion where the 7 th Plague is connected to the 7 th Trumpet and theappearing of Messiah as the Saviour, “snatching away” (gather) His people.

This is the Gospel message where Y’shua, the Lamb of YHVH, did good tothose who wronged Him; He died for those who persecuted and killed Him. Thevery act of “putting Him to death” became their means to attain salvation. The

“fire” they presented, released the “waters of salvation”, bringing the water andfire together, just like at the 7 th Plague, when Messiah was revealed. This is notonly the revelation of salvation, but the revelation of judgement as well, with “hotcolas” (hail and fire) raining down on the heads of those who rejected His Bloodas the Lamb of YHVH.

Personal Application : We apply the blood on our door by the act of doing goodto those who persecute us, doing the same things Messiah has done when theypersecuted and killed Him, becoming the “Lamb of Salvation”. Their evil act ofpersecution can be used to “save” them through the way you respond. You willallow “your blood” (persecution) to be spilled for the sake of their salvation by

not defending yourself in order to release “the water or the Word” while “hotcoals of fire” rages in them.

Do this in Remembrance ! Exo 12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and you shallkeep it a feast to YHVH throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.

Luke 22:19 And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, Hebroke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given foryou; do this in remembrance of Me.

1 Cor 11:24 And when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.

We see three verses that refer to the same event in time; the Feast of Passover. Some might be of different opinion but everything that is mentioned in the NThas already been established in the Torah and the Prophets.

It is like building a house where you have to lay thefoundation first before you can put on the roof. The

Roof provides the “covering” but the “covering” cannotbe held up unless it is supported and grounded on thefoundation. If this there is no foundation, the house isbuild on sand and when the storms come (tribulation),then the house will collapse due to a lack offoundation (Torah).

We find the foundation of the “Last Supper” or “The Lords Supper” or“Communion” in Exo 12 where YHVH told Moses to keep this Feast as amemorial throughout their generations forever. Memorial is the word “ zikrown ”that means “reminder or remembrance”. To remember does not mean to think

on it, it means TO DO IT!When the Commandment was given regardingthe Passover, they were commanded toremember something; do this Feast with thepast events in mind so that you can know whatYHVH has done to set you free form death andslavery. This means that they had toremember the whole story, starting form thecalling of Moses, right through to the death ofthe firstborn as well as the event of leavingEgypt and their journey to Mt Sinai. This is thestory of “The Exodus”, the “foundation” of the Passover that should beremembered and taught to your children. Yes, there is a Lamb and Y’shua shedHis blood to save us, but you have to know the whole story in order tounderstand the totality of Messiah’s redemption act and what it means in itstotality, not just the Blood.

When Y’shua and Paul facilitated the Passover Seder with their Disciples, theyboth referred to this verse in Exodus, stating that it is a memorial and should bedone in remembrance, with Him being the centre, the Lamb that was slain.Y’shua and Paul had the table set up with all the symbolism, explaining themeaning of every symbol as well as its prophetic significance. Most of this ismissing within the sacrament of Communion, except for the bread (Feast ofunleavened bread) and the Wine (Blood of Passover Lamb).

Q – What do we remember when we only drink the cup and eat the bread?

The majority of Believers today do not remember all theaspects of the Passover and only focus on the cup with thewine, symbolising the Blood on the Cross that paid for oursins and the bread, (normal leavened ‘fat’ bread),remembering His body that was broken so that we can behealed. This is done “often”, even daily and do not follow the

exact pattern YHVH gave to Israel when they left Egypt. It’slike a “sports page” version underlining only the highlights orprophetic meaning.

    "+

YHVH’s Passover Feast is similar to the Hebrew Language that consists ofindividual letters, each with a picture and a meaning that contains so muchrevelation. You will only find the fullness of the revelation of this Feast if youcelebrate and partake in it the way it is supposed to be remembered. We do notdo it out of obligation but for revelation.

If you celebrate “Passover” in a “Western Culture way”, then you will loose about80% of the meaning and thus not fulfilling the commandment of “remembering”it unto Him. He wants us to remember and know what He has done.

Q – Is it practical to celebrate the Passover every day?

The Last Supper is the Passover rehearsal dinner and theidea of Communion is taken only from Y’shua and Paul’s shortdescription of this Feast. If Paul used more verses to describethe Passover Seder then we probably would have a moredetailed “Communion sacrament”. Remember everything inthe Word has a foundation and if you want the detail orfoundation of a NT truth, you have to go back to where it isfirst found, read the whole story and its context and then youbring it in the light of what you are busy studying. This is oneof the Hebrew study techniques that “colour in” the detailbetween the “lines” of the NT outline. Pictures just look betterin full colour. Communion is only a B&W outline of the multi-coloured Passover Festival.

It is not practical to celebrate the Passover Seder every day and “the Lord’ssupper” is only a few verses describing the Passover Seder making Communion“man made” through “human interpretation”. Y’shua fulfilled the Passover by

becoming the Lamb, He did not fulfil His Word by taking away theCommandment regarding the Passover Feast. He died as the “Lamb” not the“Eraser”. The Passover Feast is one of the more complex Feasts to celebrateand takes the longest time to celebrate because of all the symbolism that needsto be explained, as well as the fact that it is connected to two other Feasts;Unleavened Bread and First Fruits. This makes it impractical to celebrate it“often”; daily or monthly, but rather keep it on the appointed time as YHVHcommanded so that it can be done properly.

Appointed time is first found in Gen 1:14 where YHVH laid the foundationregarding His Calendar and timing of His “Appointments” with man.

    Gen 1:14 And Elohim said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of theheaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and forseasons , and for days and years;

Season if the word “ mo-ed ” that means “appointed time or festival”, meaningthat the Appointed times, the time YHVH made an appointment with humanity. These Appointed times are governed and timed by the heavenly lights that werecreated on day 4. Passover is celebrated on the 14 th of the 1 st Month (Nissan)and Nissan starts the Biblical “New year”, making Passover the first Feast onHis Calendar. Celebrating Passover (Communion) daily ignores YHVH’sCalendar as well as His other Appointed Times, making it according to man’sinterpretation instead of YHVH’s Word and Calendar.

If you do not keep this Feast on its Appointed Time, then all the other Feasts willnot be “remembered” as well, stripping so much insight and revelation fromYHVH’s Word. People tend to forget that the Festivals of Unleavened Bread,Passover and First fruits revealed Messiah to the Jewish people and that iswhere our faith originates. This is the one reason why it is not good to follow aSacrament instead of a Commandment, you will loose so much. Always

remember, the one you obey is the one you worship. Test everything you do if itis form YHVH or it is from man, because your might end up doing the traditionsof man instead of worshipping YHVH.

Q – How do you diffuse or disarm a bomb?

    Very carefully, following exact instructions.

Q - Is it wise to change the “exact instructions” that will ensure your salvation, sothat it will not “blow up” in your face?
