Definisi CAD• CAD (Computer Aided Design) dapat didefinisikan sebagai

penggunaan sistem komputer untuk membantu kreasi, modifikasi, analisis, atau optimisasi suatu desain.

• Sistem komputer terdiri dari hardware dan software untuk melakukan fungsi khusus desain yang diperlukan.

• Hardware untuk CAD antara lain komputer, display grafis (monitor), keyboard, pointing device (mouse, space ball, tablet/pen, digitizer), plotter/printer, dan komponen periperal lainnya.

• Software CAD adalah program komputer untuk melakukan fungsi komputer grafis dan program aplikasi untuk melakukan fungsi rekayasa.
