Opis čeških LAG-ova sadrži osnovne podatke na hrvatskom jeziku - ime LAG-a, obilježja poželjnog suradničkog LAG-a iz Hrvatske, predloženo područje suradnje i kontaktne podatke. Dopunski podaci na engleskom jeziku sadrže kratki opis LAG-a i njegovih iskustava.

Brief LAG description:

Local Action Group “Landscape of Heart” operates on the territory of an area of 623.75

square kilometers north of the town Tabor. The LAG includes in total 46 municipalities of

which 40 are located in the region of the South Bohemia and 6 in the Central Bohemia. The

members’ community has about 21,000 inhabitants. Population density is very low - only

33.1 inhabitants / km2 (average population density in Czech Republic is 130 inhabitants /

km2).

LAG territory is rugged, suitable for leisure and relaxation activities (biking, hiking, cross-

country skiing). The highest hill called Javorová Rock reaches a height of 723 m. History of

the area is closely connected with the Hussite traditions. Until now, various folk customs and

traditions have survived. In the past, the silver was mined here and science consider this

deposit one of the best preserved in Central Europe. Limestone Chýnovská cave is the

largest karst formation of this kind in South Bohemia.

The seat of the local action group is the town Mladá Vožice, which is the number of

inhabitants (2500), the second largest city in the LAG. In the administrative center of LAG

currently work of 8 people - including 6 women and 2 men. We are basically a social

enterprise because 5 people have their wage from Labour Office.

LAG experience:

LAG Landscape of Heart was founded in 2004. In 2004 and 2005, LAG participated in the

implementation of the National Program Leader CR. From 2006 to 2013, was made the plan

„Together – Clean, Make Accessible and Refresh the Landscape“using the method Leader

SPL. With the support of LAG was implemented in the territory of a total of 116 projects.

LAG also implemented in the previous programming period, 12 collaborative projects

including 2 projects with foreign partners.

Additional information: We prefer cooperation with LAGs, which are not specialised only in

trobleshooting but especially tehy are looking about the causes of problems. We prefer cooperation

with LAG that fully identifies with the Leader method.The Leader method is not, in our opinion,

about money but about people.

Brief LAG description: Místní akční skupina Šipka, z. s. is an organization based on principles of

Local action group (hereinafter LAG Šipka). Interest area of LAG Šipka is located in Region Vysočina.

The area of LAS Šipka belongs to the smaller LAG because the interest area includes 28

municipalities in which permanently live 23.491 inhabitants. Whole area has 29.568 ha. Interest

area of organization is typical by their catchment town Pelhřimov which has 16 ths inhabitants. The

other municipalities have mostly less than 200 inhabitants. The town is typical with industry and

the countryside with agriculture (in history mostly oriented for potatoes production). Interest area

is currently faced with shortcoming of drinking water. Cause is seen in lower permanent greenland

in landscape. Huge positive in interest area is high employment compare to state average. The area

is attractive for active tourists because of our highland landscape. In region is very popular

mushrooming and recreation in the cottages on the countryside. The town is well known by its

Museum of records and curiosities and by the annually held Festival of records and curiosities. In

villages are maintained tradition mostly connected with carnival, Easter and Christmas. Fire sport

contests are very popular at villages in summer month. Some villages still keep amateur theater.

LAG Šipka has got 2 employees occasionally volunteers and part time workers.

LAG experience:

LAG Šipka has experience with international cooperation project in program Youth in

Action, Action 1.3 INFLUENCE, don’t be influence.

Another experiences we have with the international cooperation in program Grundtvig. In

Grundtvig we had a big cooperation project for two years, where we were the organization

who coorganized and controlled realization.

Examples of realized projects:

1) „TAKE PART – BE SMART“ (Youth in Action) focused on key theme like a participation,

youth involvement in public citizenship and democracy, human rights, everyday Law,

communication and personal developmet intercultural dialogue and intercultural society,

European identity and mobility, information for youth and social involvement.

2) "WE SHARE" (Grundtvig) focused on sharing, time bank, reusing, volunteering, etc.

Cooperating with 12 organizations (every from different country).

3) “Venkov za sportem” focused on cooperation with LAG Otevřené zahrady Jičínska on

sport activities, repair sport playround and base and build a new multifunction playground.

4) “Venkovský kinematograf” focused on cooperation with LAG Královská stezka and buy

technic to project films in municipalities on areas of both LAG and project films.

Our organization hasn´t got experiences with realization of LEADER strategy, just only with

projects of LEADER cooperation in Czech Republic.

Additional information: In case of need the employees of our organization are able to fast and

operative cooperation.

Brief LAG description: The region of LAG Česká Kanada (Czech Canada) is situated in the

southwestern part of South Bohemia, bordering the Austria. The territory consists of 3 microregions

(Jindřichohradecko, Dačicko and Soběslavská pahorkatina). The LAG territory is very well known

due the large number of lakes, forest ponds, bogs and rock formations - the territory is a natural

park Czech Canada. There are many historical objects in the territory, such as castles and chateaus

in Jindřichův Hradec, Landstejn Cervena Lhota and Dačice. Cultural heritage is preserved in regional

museums, for example Muzeum Jindřichohradecka, House of tapestries, Photography museum,

Museum and Gallery Dačice, Rope Craft Museum in Deštná.

LAG experience: LAG Česká Kanada was founded in 2012. In spite of short history we joined the

international cooperation project in 2013 called "Customs and traditions on both sides of the

border" together with 4 other LAGs from the Czech Republic and 1 LAG from Slovakia. The project

included the acquisition of new folk costumes and its parts for Jarošov folk dance group (active in

the region with folk dances and compliance with folk traditions) and futhermore the ceramic

workroom, including forms and materials for Lodhéřov village. Very interesting seminars were

realized at chosen schools throughout the region.

Brief LAG description: LAG Brdy-Vltava supports czech countryside in order to preserve its

cultural values, traditions and landscape. Our region is typical of mountain range Brdy and the river

Vltava. LAG Brdy-Vltava coordinates regional development (for total 31 municipalities) towards

sustainaible development and lifelong education of inhabitans and also supports public

participation in decision-making processes in region. A key area of our LAG is social sphere

(longterm coordination of this sphere) and turism (longterm coordination). Our LAG works from

2006. Number of employees - 3, Central Bohemia region, number of inhabitants 27 970.

LAG experience: Our LAG doesn´t have direct experience with LEADER approach but we carry out

individual projects in social sphere, tourism, and strategic planning. At this time we are preparing

our Strategy for new programming period. In addition we do project named "Social fund in region

Brdy-Vltava". The aim of this project is to concentrate money from regional actors and re-distribute

them to social services providers. We did also project which was focused on supporting persons

with low qualification and the general deterioration of the prerequisites for getting a job.

Participants of the project were at risk of social exclusion. We created "work team" from these

persons. They help to municipalities to take care about public spaces (cutting the grass, pruning

trees etc.). We help to municipalities with strategic planning too.

The Local Action Group Podlipansko (LAG Podlipansko) was founded in 2005 with the aim

to support environmental, economic and social development of the Podlipanský region

within its microregions and another twin towns and sister cities. The LAG represents the

local partners from public, non-governmental and business sectors and also the residents in

the regions. The LAG also helps the local subjects with the preparation of projects financed

by the EU programmes.

The LAG supports the local partners in activities:

Cooperation with local governments, business and non-profit entities, networking;

Implementation of the Strategy of the Community-led Local Development);

Provision mentoring, assistance and advisory services;

Providing relevant information,

Creating regional analyses;

Organization of awareness raising campaigns in line with the objectives of the organisation;

Participation in negotiations with regional authorities;

Educational activities.

High quality of living in the region;

Community-led development of the region;

Raised awareness about the national and European funding opportunities among the

stakeholders;

The competitiveness of the local products and services;

Preservation of the natural and cultural resources of the region;

Support of the rural tourism.

As the Podlipanský region is a rural region, the members of the LAG are mostly small

municipalities with about 500 citizens. The biggest town in the LAG is Nymburk, which was

founded in 1275 and is famous for its historical centre and brewery.

The most important topics for the LAG Podlipansko are:

High quality of living and education;

Sustainable development of rural areas;

Transfer of know-how in these areas.

The heart of the LAG is the municipality Pečky, which has since 2005 stand in the centre of

the activities of the LAG. Pečky is the city located in the Kolín region with about 4 500

inhabitants.

In LAG is now involved 55 municipalities with almost 56 thousand inhabitants.

LAG experience:

During the last programinig period has been realised at region 127 project form LEADER

over most 50 mil. CZK.

Also the LAG Podlipansko take a part in several project of cooperation including the

development of cycling infrastructure, ecological development of the region or projects that

keen on the history of the region.

Central Bohemian Fruit Path – is a project based on regional partnership and has resulted

into the construction of a thematic path. The path leads through the rural roads and mainly

III. Class motorways and it is signed with yellow cycle signposts with the path logo.The

educational path contains 10 lay-bys with a map, where you can find interesting information

on fruit growing. At every lay –bys is for the children placed a relief picture which can be

copied with a pencil.

The rural treasures – is an international project which coinsidec with the major project of

the LAG which is called „Polabí-regional products“. It aims to promote regional products. In

this project were involved LAGS frim Lithuania, Finlad and 3 LAG from Czech republic.

Alive Chrinicle - project of cooperation which aim is to collect the memories of odl people

form the past years. The output of this project will be the post cards and DVD records.

Environmental projects – LAG Podlipansko has also participated in various ecological

projects which have aimed to clean up the forest and plant trees.

Infrastructure – The LAG has taken part in two project that focused on the development of

cycling infrastructure.

Obilježja hrvatskog LAG-a poželjnog za suradnju: LAG koji se nalazi blizu vode (more, jezero) s

poljoprivrednim, industrijskim i turističkim aktivnostima. Poželjno je da se LAG nalazi blizu

Kostanjevice na Krki, no nije uvjet.

Predloženo područje suradnje: Turizam, društvene i obrazovne usluge, zaštita okoliša, kultura i

podrška poduzetništvu.

Brief LAG description: MAS Chrudimsko, z.s. (LAG Chrudimsko) was founded in 2013 to help the

development of the region based on LAEDER princips. MAS Chrudimsko is situated on the east of

Bohemia in Pardubický region. It has got 32 000 of inhabitans and it is situated on the compact area

of 108 km2. In this region you can find various nature areas and many interesting cultural places.

The center of LAG is the city Chrudim with 24 000 of inhabitans. Chrudim has got strong

relationship to Croatia, famous native of Chrudim Josef Ressel invented the screw-proleller and

practise it in Croatia.

In MAS Chrudimsko there are 3 part-time employes. MAS Chrudimsko has got 50 members. MAS

Chrudimsko focuses on creation of strategy of region development in coordination with LAG

members and partners and implementation of development projects.

LAG experience: MAS Chrudimsko very clousely cooperates with the city of Chrudim. The city of

Chrudim has got experience with LEADER princips. There is long-term project Healthy city Chrudim,

based on this princips, the results of this project are appreciated in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Brief LAG description: MAS LEADER - Loucko is located in the southeastern part of the region

Vysocina and regional city is Jihlava. MAS has 8 villages with a total population 11 779. Our MAS

Brief LAG description: Local Action Group Podhostýnska, brings together members of the

Mikroregionu Podhostýnsko and two municipalities outside the micro-region. This represents a

employs 2 people. The natural landmark of the area is an important place of pilgrimage Svatý

Hostýn.

Brief LAG description: The territory of the local action group Královská stezka (Royal Trail) is

located in the northern part of the Moravian Highlands and occupies an area of 70,769 hectares.

Královská stezka o.p.s. now includes 70 municipalities, which are home to 57,784 inhabitants. The

specialty area is its soothing nature and ideal conditions for active recreation, especially for cycling,

hiking and development of agro-tourism. A typical characteristic of the area is reflected in the title

of the Strategic Plan LEADER - "Forgotten land" which reflects the relaxed pace of life in the region.

The LAG also located in the geographical center of the Czech Republic in the Highlands region and

adjacent to a protected area Iron Mountain. Královská stezka o.p.s. has 4 employees whose aim is to

coordinate the development of the region in all areas.

LAG experience: LAG Královská stezka was established in 2007. MAS administered the projects of

the Rural Development Programme of the European funds, implemented cooperation projects with

foreign MAS, and also realized projects from other subsidy programs. Furthermore, MAS also has

experience in organizing cultural events and leisure activities throughout the region.

Brief LAG description: LAG founded 2004, 26 municipalities, 31 ths. Inhabitants, 836 km2. Area

situated between regional capitals (100 ths. Inh) and Austrian border. Great socioeconovic

dispartities, rich north close to the capital and pure south (at the border). On the south exceptional

natural conditions (mountains, Eupean Green belt). Rich community life (local clubs), regional

specialities, traditional production, (black smithing, glass processing, carpentry), eco production,

processing local products.

područjem. Traži se partner u projektu Share e-bike čiji je koordinator LAG Opavsko I u kojemu

surađuju partneri iz sedam Europskih zemalja, uključujući i hrvatske LAG-ove: PRIZAG i Neretva.

Local Action Group Opavsko is a non-profit organization founded in 2006. It was established

as an open partnership of public and private entities, especially municipalities, farmers,

entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations. Our aim is to jointly create, connect and

innovate various activities and thus help the development of rural life in all its forms.

LAG Opavsko has got 93 members and acts on the territory of 52 municipalities, which are

home for 59,000 inhabitants.

LAG experience:

Implementation of the Strategic Plan LEADER by LAG Opavsko. Since 2009 it has been

supported approximately 200 projects that help to develop rural areas of Opava region. LAG

Opavsko will implement method of Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) by the

Community-Led Local Development Strategy in the new programming period 2014 – 2020.

Miešek and Doubravka – 1000 years of common Czech-Polish history

topic: The Project revives an old heritage of Czech-Polish history – the wedding of Czech

princess Doubravka (from dynasty of Přemyslovci) and Polish prince Měšek (from dynasty

of Piastovci) in 10th century.

topic: An old traditions, habits and crafts help to develop a local economy – the Project

included meetings, workshops, conferences and promotional activities. The Project

introduced a new regional brand into Opava region – “Opavské Slezsko, regionální

produkt®“.

The Local Community pathway to education, self-esteem and work

partner: LAG Lider Wałecki (Poland)

topic: The pilot project – the transfer of Polish partner know-how into Opava region. The

aim of the Project was an activation of women who are threatened in the labour market, an

education these women and also increases in their confidence.

Resilience and adaptation to climate change in regional strategies

partners: ZO ČSOP Veronica (applicant), partners: NN LAG CR (the Czech Republic), LAG

Opavsko (the Czech Republic), Vysoká škola báňská – Technická univerzita Ostrava (the

Czech Republic), Hogskolen i Oslo og Akershus (Norway)

topic: The Project aims to create a Strategy for integration of adaptation to climate change

into the regional strategies. The Project includes the input information campaign. The

Strategy will be implemented through Local Action Groups (the LAG ensures the

participation of stakeholders of different sectors – public, private and non-profit). The

Project is in its secondary activities focused on the promotion of electromobility and electric

bikes – power is possible from renewable sources.

Brief LAG description: LAG Sdruzeni SPLAV is situated in the Kralovehradiecky region, in the

district of Rychnov nad Kneznou. On the north-east it borders with Poland and on the south-east it

follows the border of Kralovehradecky region and river Divoka Orlice.

The LAG operates in the area of 31 municipalities with a total area 48 090 hectares and population

35 588 inhabitants. Member municipalities are small and medium-sized villages from 200 to 1 000

inhabitants, with the exception of few small towns.

The area of LAG Sdruzeni SPLAV can be divided into two distinctive parts - mountain part and

foothill. Both parts have very different development potential - mountain part is an attractive area

with Natural Protected Area of Eagle Mountain and lot of traditions, but with lack of job

opportunities and less comfortable for permanent living; while foothill offers good living standard

and work, but doesn´t have clear its own face and identity.

In the moment LAG Sdruzeni SPLAV has 6 permanent employees.

LAG experience: LAG Sdruzeni SPLAV has many years of experience with implementation of

LEADER program (LEADER +, LEADER ČR, LEADER 2008 - 13, LEADER International Cooperation),

as well as with other programs (Interreg Interregional Coopearation, Rural Fund, grants of Czech

Government, European Social Fund, Erasmus+). We are very keen in international cooperation; so

far we have successfully realized number of projects with partners from Finland, Estonia, Belgium,

Italy, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.

Brief LAG description: Rymarovsko is located in the western part of the Moravian-Silesian Region

of the Czech Republic. Includes one of the most attractive areas - Hruby Jesenik, the highest

mountain is Praděd. At the southern part is a natural park Sovinecko, more than half of the area is

covered by forests. An important feature of the area is varied and rich nature. The landscape

provides all season extraordinary conditions for tourism and recreation. In the winter it offers ideal

snow conditions with the longest skiing in the Czech Republic. LAG has 14 municipalities with 18

thousand inhabitants. The largest town is Rýmařov, which is a natural center for the surrounding

community.

LAG experience: The organization was founded in 2004. The LEADER program has been

successfully implemented (70 national project) and 9 projects of national and international

cooperation. Projects were mainly focused on the development of tourism and traditions.

Brief LAG description: Our LAG emloys 2 people. We are located in Vysocina (Highhill) region, just

in the centre of Czech Republic. 12 villages (50 - 500 inhabitans) and administrative centre

Chotebor (10 ths inhabitans) are our members. Part of our region belongs to protected area and

Natural geological park Zelezne hory (Iron Mountains). Agriculture and mechanical engineering are

traditional sectors. Our region has beautiful lanscape with rural character inhabited by friendly

people.

LAG experience: Most of our projects were realised in agriculture and village infrastructure in last

period. Now we would like to focus on agriculture, development of small bussiness, nature

protection, environmental education and community life.

Brief LAG description: The territory of the LAG Region Pošembeří lies in the Central Bohemia east

of Prague. Surface area of the whole territory is 252 km2 and includes 37 municipalities.

Geographically, the landform is mainly flat with minimal share of the woods which represents only

10% of the area. Share of the farmland is 77,7 % of the whole area, the region has mainly rural

character. For this territory is characteristic growing apples.

In the year 2013 38 684 inhabitants live in the territory. Approximately, in the third of

municipalities live to 500 inhabitants and in ten municipalities live from 500 to 1000 inhabitants.

LAG experience: LAG Region Pošembeří implemented in 2007-2013 Programme LEADER with

total allocation approximately 55 million CZK. Within the framework of 10 Fiche of the LEADER

were supported 131 projects. Projects were aimed foremost at improvement of quality life in the

territory. There were supported projects for free time activities, sports and cultural activities and

preservation cultural heritage. Support also was focused to small local entrepreneurs.

LAG Region Pošembeří realized four projects of cooperation. They are noteworthy project Fruits

cycle way with educational elements, educational project “We are learning through movies”, project

of restoration of historical path through landscape and project promoting work of local

entrepreneurs.
