Introduction: have sts look at the page and identify the letter names if they can and name objects that they recognize. Play track 32. Have sts listen to the audio and point to the letters.
Main part: play the audio again. Pause to allow sts to repeat after each line. Play the audio track again and have the sts sing the song. Play track 33. Have sts listen to the audio and point to the letters and pictures. Hold up TC 23(apple) and say a, apple. Have sts repeat. Continue with the cards for bird, cat and dog. Then hold up each card in random order and have sts say the word and the letter it represents. Use TC 23-26 or write the letters Aa, Bb, Cc and Dd on one side on the board, and draw pictures of an apple, a bird, a cat and a dog on the other side in a mixed order. Have sts come to the board and draw a line that matches the letter with the correct picture.
Ending part: have sts look at the picture and identify the items they see. Divide the class into pairs. Have pairs work together to find the letters Aa, Bb, Cc and Dd.
