Description of the application:
During the L.A.. Convention Center’s expansion from 1993to 1994, Tractel supplied a variety of access solutions forthis nearly completely glazed complex.
Access to the entire exterior of two towers was required.
Powered Davit Carriages were supplied for the upper &lower levels of both the South and West Lobby Tower.
The four D2C units support two TRACMOD poweredplatforms used to service each tower.

Description of the application:
The Ronald Reagan State Office Building, located in downtownL.A., is owned by the Los Angeles State Building Authority anddesigned by Architect Richard Faulkner.
This application required taller davit masts to overcome veryhigh parapets at the roof level. Both the standard D2C DavitCarriages and the special D2C units allow the Davit Arms tobe lowered out-of-view.

Description of the application:
The access systems for the expansion of the San FranciscoInternational Airport were carried out under three differentcontracts with two different General Contractors.
Powered Davit Carriages were used throughout the airport,with different types of track to suit these BuildingMaintenance Units (BMU).
The Project Architect for area ‘A’ was Gerson Overstreet,who elected to use dual-pipe track for this area.

Description of Application:To provide access to the new International Terminal at the SanFrancisco International Airport, Tratcel provided four D1C and a23’-8” powered platform to provide coverage to the easilyaccessible areas. While extra heavy duty and heavy duty DavitBases and Davit Arms were required for areas of the buildingwhere the D1C could not gain access. This project also called for3050’ (1066m) of travsafe, 98 Davit bases, 14 Davit Arms, DropThrough Sleeves, 20’ (6M) Aluminum Section Ladder and 3 GenieLifts.

Description of the application:
This ‘D2C’-type davit carriage system, located on the sixth floorsetback, was supplied to replace an existing unit that was nolonger operational. Swingstage Division had previously supplieda D2C unit to retrofit an upper unit.
All WF track was existing on site.

Technical Data:
D2C Powered Powered Davit Carriage:consists of a pair of powered traversing davitcarriages, each with a davit mast and manuallyrotating davit boom reaching 7’-6”. The D2C tra-verse to the required drop locations via electricalmotors operated at the roof level with a pendentcontrol. Davit carriages suspend TracmodPowered Platforms that typically range from 20’- 30’. The platform on this building was a specialcase being 40’ with a weight limitation of 500lbs.
