MISSION

The mission of School of Continuing and Professional Education is to provide quality continuing education for professional practice, retraining and self-development which anticipates and responds to community needs and the effects of social and technological changes. The continuing and professional education programme is one of the most important channels by which the City University of Hong Kong can offer access to its human, physical and technological resources for the advancement of society. The School is committed to freedom of enquiry and the pursuit of excellence in teaching and to interaction with the community.

香港城市大學專業進修學院的成立宗旨是積極回應因社會急速

發展而帶來的培訓需要，為各社群策劃並提供高質素和多元化

的課程，為有志進修人士提供學習階梯、專業訓練和個人發展

Bachelor’s Degree (Top-up ) Programmes 學士學位課程(銜接課程)With the launch of the fi rst top-up degree programme in 1992, SCOPE has been one of the pioneers of overseas Bachelor Degrees (Top-ups) in Hong Kong. Our Top-up Degree programmes have enabled members of the community to pursue further studies and advance in their careers.

專業進修學院於1992 年開辦首個學士學位(銜接課程)，是開辦同類課程的先驅之一。在過去15年，學院的學士學位銜接課程為學員提供學習基礎，進而讓他們繼續修讀更高學歷程度課程或在工作上取

得更佳的成就。

Doctoral and Master’s Degree Programmes 博士及碩士課程In response to the society’s needs, SCOPE offers specialised doctoral and master’s degree programmes

in collaboration with overseas universities to prepare participants to become high-calibre leaders in

various sectors, such as Education, Psychology, Business, Language, Law and Music, etc. These

programmes are offered in various study modes, allowing fl exibility for busy professionals to pursue

their continuing education goals for professional upgrade, career change or personal development.

為配合社會需求，香港城市大學專業進修學院與多間海外大學合辦專科博士及碩士課程，為不同範疇

(例如教育、心理學、商業、語言及傳訊、法律及音樂等)培育優質人材。這些課程以不同的學習模式

進行，以便在職專業人士持續進修、專科深造、配合職位變動或個人發展。

Progression Diplomas (Day-time/Part-time Programmes for HKCEE holders)進階文憑（適合中學會考畢業生修讀之日間/兼讀制課程）These programmes provide a route for HKCEE holders to pursue higher education through articulation to a number of overseas awards. Participants may complete a Bachelor’s Degree in 4 years part-time.專業進修學院的進階文憑課程為中五畢業生提供升讀大專課程之另一途徑。課程已跟多間海外大學學位課程銜接，學

員可在最短四年，以兼讀形式取得學士學位。

Besides training in the fi eld of professional specialisation, the programmes aim to build a solid and coherent foundation for graduates to further their studies at the degree level. The curricula are designed to include “generic skills” and “enabling skills” including the enhancement of language competencies, learning skills and analytical skills which are essential for undergraduate studies. Many graduates have been admitted to top-up degree since the programme launched in 2004.課程設計除包括專業範疇外，亦著重協助中五畢業生由中學轉型到大學的學習內容和模式，提升語文、學習及分析

等能力，為學員日後升讀大學課程奠定良好基礎。課程自2004年開辦至今，不少畢業生已獲取錄入讀學院開辦之學

位銜接課程。

Yi Jin Programme (Part-time Programmes for secondary school leavers)毅進課程（適合中學離校生修讀兼讀制課程）

Thousands of secondary school leavers have developed their confi dence and study skills to proceed further - either in education or employment, through SCOPE’s Yi Jin Programme. Some of these graduates have continued their studies in SCOPE’s day-time progression diploma programmes and some chose to enter Pre-Associate Degree programmes and higher programmes offered by CityU and other universities. Some have joined the HKSAR Government or private organisations.學院的毅進課程已成功協助數以千計的中學離校生加強進修及工作方面的自信和能力。部分畢業生已獲取錄入讀學院

開辦之日間進階文憑，或由城大或其他大學開辦之副學士先修等高等教育課程；部分更成功入職政府部門或私人機構。

The other academic departments include College of Business, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Science and Engineering, School of Creative Media, School of Energy and Environment, School of Law, Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies.

SCOPE offers four domains of programmes: International Education (non-local Doctoral, Master’s and Top-up Degrees); Continuing Professional Development (progression diplomas articulated to top-up programmes, standalone diplomas and certifi cates, and professional courses); Community Education (non-tertiary programmes and courses, mostly daytime, offered as service to the community); and Life Enrichment (mostly in the form of general courses). The School’s total enrolments amount to 20,500 per year, or about 9,900 fte (full-time student loads), and there are about 12,000 students taking award-bearing programmes.

SCOPE was among the fi rst institutions to offer part-time, top-up degree programmes for sub-degree holders and has one of the largest portfolios of such programmes. Many of the top-up degree programmes have been running successfully in collaboration with overseas universities for a number of years and the high completion rate is most re-assuring. Together with a range of master’s and doctoral programmes, the School has a full range of programmes with different entry points for lifelong learners in various disciplines and professions.

SCOPE offers a number of well-defi ned progression pathways which enable school-leavers to proceed from HKCEE to the degree level, and in some cases, professional recognition, on a part-time basis. This is accomplished through completion of the School’s progression diplomas and then top-up degree programmes. SCOPE also provides promotional support to a large number of part-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by CityU academic departments.

The main offi ce and SCOPE@CityU learning centre is located in the purpose-built facilities on campus at the Academic Exchange Building of CityU. It is one of the closest buildings on campus to the Kowloon Tong MTR stations.

The SCOPE Admiralty Learning Centre, located in the United Centre in Admiralty, situated in the core of Hong Kong business world, it is an ideal venue for executive and corporate training and also for press conferences.

In addition to these locations, there are learning centres close to near the City University of Hong Kong. They are the, SCOPE TST East Learning Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui, and Shek Kip Mei Learning Centre in Shek Kip Mei.

香港城市大學專業進修學院簡介

香港城市大學專業進修學院（簡稱SCOPE）是城大學院之一。其他學院包括商學院、人文及社會科學學院、科學及工程學院、創意媒體學院、能源及環境學院、法律學院、周亦卿研究生院。

專業進修學院提供的課程類別包括：兼讀制的國際教育課程（可獲頒非本地博士、碩士及學士銜接學位）、持續專業發展課程（可銜接學士學位之進階文憑、各類專科文憑及證書、及專業課程）、社區教育課程（非大學程度課程，以日間課程為主），以及豐盛生命課程（以短期課程為主）。每年共有超過20,500人報讀學院的課程（相等於約9,900名全日制學員人數），當中約有12,000名學員修讀學歷教育課程。

學院大部份的學歷教育課程均與海外著名大學合辦，是本港提供最多兩年兼讀制「學位銜接課程」的教育機構之一。學位銜接課程適合副學位畢業生，或曾修畢學院開辦的「進階文憑課程」人士報讀。該進階文憑課程的報讀資格為中五或毅進課程畢業，構成一條可以由中學會考銜接至學士學位的完整階梯。此外，學院亦為城大其他學術部門提供課程宣傳上的支援，協助推廣城大一系列兼讀制的學士學位及深造學位課程。

專業進修學院總部及「SCOPE城大教學中心」位於校園內的學術交流大樓，鄰近九龍塘港鐵站，除辦公室外，校舍亦設有教學演講廳、行政人員培訓室及會議研討室。「SCOPE金鐘教學中心」位於金鐘統一中心，設施包括演講廳、記者招待室、會議室、課室和電腦實驗室等。

另外，就近城大的「SCOPE尖沙咀東教學中心」以及「SCOPE石硤尾教學中心」，均為學員提供設備先進完善、環境舒適及交通便利的理想上課地點。

ADMISSION INFORMATION

General Information1. For general courses, there are normally no entrance requirements

and all applications will be dealt with on a fi rst-come-fi rst-served basis. Other courses such as degree programmes, diploma/certifi cate/professional courses may have certain qualifi cations and experience requirements, applicants are advised to pursue the respective course/programme description.

2. The School of Continuing and Professional Education (SCOPE) reserves the right not to admit an applicant. Fees and places allocated on courses/programmes are not transferable. Fees are not refundable, except for unsuccessful enrolment or cancellation of a course/programme.

3. SCOPE reserves the right to alter details of the course such as date, time, venue and substitution of instructors and to cancel courses/programmes.

4. SCOPE will make every effort to arrange class venue in “SCOPE@CityU”, “SCOPE TST East Learning Centre” and “SCOPE Admiralty Learning Centre”. However, we reserve the rights to make changes of venue to other off-campus seminar rooms if necessary.

Adverse Weather ArrangementNo class will be held upon announcement of storm warning signal No. 8 or above. After the typhoon passes, if the No. 8 signal is lowered (before 7 am in the case of morning classes, before 12 noon in the case of afternoon classes, and before 4 pm in the case of evening classes), classes will meet as usual; otherwise classes will be postponed. For rainstorm black warning, the arrangement will be similar.

Continuing Education FundIntroductionThe Continuing Education Fund (CEF) subsidises adults with learning aspirations to pursue continuing education and training courses. Eligible applicants will be reimbursed 80% of their fees, subject to a maximum sum of HK$10,000, on successful completion of a reimbursable course(s). The fees for more than one course may be reimbursed, subject to the maximum ceiling of HK$10,000 per applicant not being exceeded.

ApplicantsPersons who –(a) are Hong Kong residents who have the right of abode or the

right to land or to remain in Hong Kong without restriction; (b) have enrolled in and paid the tuition fee for a reimbursable

course before the course commences; and(c) are aged from 18 to 65 at the time of application and on

seeking reimbursement of their fees.* Degree holders are eligible to apply for the CEF with effect from

持續進修基金為有志進修的成年人提供持續教育和培訓資助。合資格的申請人可就多於一個可獲發還款項課程申領發還款項。完成可獲發還款項課程後，可獲發還有關課程費用的80%或上限10,000港元。

申請人

申請人必須-

(a) 屬香港居民並擁有香港居留權、或香港入境權、或有權在香港逗留而不受任何逗留條件限制；

(b) 已獲錄取修讀可獲發還款項課程，並在開課前支付學費；以及

荷蘭DFA專業花藝課程

本系列課程是根據2005年荷蘭應用科學及師範大學 (STOAS) 最新修訂的內容編制，符合歐洲花藝設計技能標準的要求，適合為提升花藝技術，

考取歐盟專業技能或有興趣探討荷蘭花藝風格的人士報讀。內容主要教

授歐洲的基本插作原理及要素、幾何花型的設計特色與應用，選材與色

彩美學概念的配襯及植物花卉的保養與種類。每堂包括理論與實習，配

合互動學習模式，並播放歐洲著名設計大師的作品照片及錄影片段為研

習藍本，加深學員對歐洲花藝設計演變的認識。在導師的指導下，學員

可發揮個人的創作潛能。

本課程主要介紹花卉植物的特性與保養方法，使用不同插作工具於花藝

設計上，認識不同裝飾用品配襯在特別節日或典禮中，並解釋選擇材料

的方法。

實習作品包括:手綁花束、花飾、禮品包裝設計、節日花藝擺設及不同器

皿與配襯鮮花設計等。

本課程根據荷蘭DFA花藝專科考試的內容所編制，並且由荷蘭ADFA花藝專才考試評審員直接監管。適合已完成「荷蘭DFA專業花藝設計課程(三)」或擁有同等程度的人士參加。內容包括由荷蘭DFA考試評審員親自示範及解釋DFA專科考試的內容、評分標準及範圍共12小時，而36小時的課堂實習將著重改善設計技巧上的漏弊，務求加深學員對考試準則的了解。

實習作品包括:胸花設計、手綁花束、瓶花擺設、新娘捧花、平碟擺設、

餐桌擺設、葬禮擺設、主體佈置及壁飾佈置及考生自選設計
