Polyethylene is the most widely used plastic. Its primary use is within
packaging - plastic bag, plastic films, etc. Polyethylene is classified into several
different categories, the most important polyethylene grades are HDPE, LLDPE
and LDPE.
Polystyrene: Polystyrene is also one of the most widely used plastics in
packaging and electrical & electronics applications. The most important grades
are HIPS and GPPS.

Ethylene glycol: The major end uses of ethylene glycol are as an antifreeze and raw
material in the production of polyester fibers, mainly PET.
Ethanolamines: Ethanolamine is commonly called monoethanolamine or MEA in order to be distinguished from diethanolamine (DEA) and Triethanolamine (TEA). MEA acts as a
weak base using in the production of detergents, pharmaceuticals, corrosion inhibitors.
Ethoxylates: Ethoxylates are known as nonionic surfactants, which are industrially
produced by addition of ethylene oxide onto fatty alcohols .

Biopolymer: Biopolymers are polymers produced by living organisms. Cellulose is the most
common organic compound and biopolymer on Earth making everyday products that have
less impact on the environment.
Methyl Esters: Commonly called Biodiesel produced by an alkali-catalyzed reaction between
vegetable oils and methanol. Biodiesel is meant to be used in standard diesel engines
Fatty alcohols: Fatty alcohols are mainly used in the production of detergents and
surfactants.
Glycerin: Glycerol is used in medical and pharmaceutical and personal care preparations,
mainly as a means of improving smoothness, providing lubrication and as a humectant.
Specialty Oleochemical: High-margin oleochemical products serve in end-markets
including home and personal care, plastics and rubber, and oilfield chemicals.

Phenol and Bisphenol A: Condensation of phenol with acetone gives bisphenol-A a key precursor to
polycarbonates (PC). Polycarbonate is mainly used as high impact materials in electronic applications,
construction materials, data storage, automotive, aircraft, and security components.
PU chain: The main consumption of polyurethane products is in the form of foams, with flexible and
rigid types: flexible foams are behind upholstery fabrics in furniture; rigid foams are inside the metal and
plastic walls of most refrigerators and freezers, or behind paper, metals and other surface materials in the
case of thermal insulation panels in the construction sector
