IATF16949:2016The IATF16949 is an ISO technical specification aiming to the development of a quality management system that provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. It is based on the ISO 9001 and the serial of standard: ISO/TS16949 :1999 1st editionISO/TS16949: 2002 2nd edition ISO/TS16949 :2009 3rd editionNow, become IATF16949:2016 (1st Edition) which it was published in Oct1, 2016.It was prepared by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and the "Technical Committee" of ISO. It harmonizes the country-specific regulations of Quality-Manage-ment-Systems. IATF16949 applies to manufacturing of customer specified production part,Service and/or Accessory part for Automo-tive.The Automotive organization will be encouraged to seek IATF certification.

A key requirement of IATF16949 is the fulfillment of customer-specific requirements, set up by the automobile manufacturer in addition to the quality management system of their suppliers. This may have decisively contributed to the worldwide recognition of many manufacturers.
