1 Introduction:-R-seva is the route seva. The concept of R-seva has been introduced in order to meet

the problems of people who are in search of the routes, available buses.Distance between their source to destination etc. whatever may be the means of transport,

they can get confirmation given above the shortest path and can be very much calculated before theyactually start off, the information will be free of cost, and if the map is so, complicated user can ask for aprint out by affording a single rupe (Re,1/-)

    1. Problem Definition :-A common problem each and every one of us will be facing in our daily life. A silly problem

to hear with, but when a person really experiences it, one cannot imagine his/her miserable state whenthey are miss leaded from their actual path. Time and economy are the two side of a common man, of thepresent world, people who has to travel for a very long distances, if they are not familiar with the place andlocal language will have face many problems in order to reach their destination.

    R-seva is a solution to one-such problems.3.1 Technology Overview:-

At present there is no computerized system that do service to the public by displaying the

appropriate path as desired by the user. People especially new to the city environment will have to collectinformation either from their neighbors or from strangers. Some how many hesitate to ask others due tolanguage problem.

People with lack of proper information they are being deceived by taxie & auto people. But our designedsoftware, R-seva is an embedded system which actually display the desired path as requested by theuser. It contains the path details such as the distance between the source and destination. Along with this italso contains bus numbers and also provide a printout of path. Hence under all circumstance it is feasibleto design the R-seva System.3.2 System Requirement Specification:-

System requirement specification is a documentation that completely describes what the

proposed software should do without describing how the software will do it. The basic goal of theRequirement phase is to produce the System Requirement Specification (SRS) which describe thecomplete external behavior of the proposed software.3.2.1 Hardware Specificatio ns:-

Processor : Pentium 1 or aboveProcessor Speed : 650 MhzMemory : 64MB RAM or aboveMonitor : 14 colorCDROM drive : 8x or aboveFloppy disk drive : 1.4 MBHard disk drive : 2 GB or above

    3.2.2. Software specifications:-

    Operating System : Redhat Limix 7.2 or above.Development : JDK 1.2.1

Feasibility is a high level capsule version of entire systems. The main objective is todetermine the problem and solve it quickly. The feasibility of the system are to be tested in thefollowing areas.

    Technical feasibility.

    Economic feasibility. Behavioral feasibility.

4.1 Techn ical Feasib ili ty :-In R-seva system, the recognition of from and to station codes, the display of map and

recognition of a rupee coin to give a print out are the activities involved. Graphics is used in orderto implement these activities. As it is a stand alone system, our project R-seva technically feasible.

4.2 Economical Feasibi li ty:-To implement and design the R-seva System software requires Java Apple Programming (JDK 1.2.1)and linux Operating System (O.S) which is Open Source Freeware if necessary to design, Sensors ,Printer , Micro Controllers are required and these are all the basis equipment in any Organization. Hencethe design of R-seva System is economically feasible.

4.3 Behavioral Feasibi lit y:-People inherently resist to convey information about the route to other. Now the Government is welcomingthe computerized system to perform the required task flexibly and efficiently. Since our software R-seva System is user friendly , the development of the system is feasible in all aspects.5.5 System Design :-

System design consists of deciding which system capabilities are implemented in software andwhich involves in hardware. Timing constraints or other contains may mean the some system functions.5.1 Use- Case Diagram of R-seva System

This use diagramic approach clearly shows how the user was going to interact with the R-sevasystem

    Events:-

Identifying the FROMand To station codes.

    Processing the Route Map.

Display route map along with bus numbers and distance in KM Giving the print out of the Route Map by accepting Re.1/- Coin

5.2 About Java and Linux : -We have used theJava Applet Programming (JDKl.2.1) for Code and Linux as platform.

The significance of java is that it was deeply rooted in the process of refinement and adaption that hasbeen occurring in the computer programming languages for the past three decades. As java could havesolve each fundamental problem that the proceeding languages could not solve. It is portable platformindependent language that could be used to produce the code that run on any variety of CPU underdifferent environments.

The signification of Limux is that(i) Limux provides and excellent return on investment (ROI)

(ii) Linux in conjunction with its graphical interface.(iii) Linux has been low entry and development cost barrier. Maintenance cost are very less also.(iv) Linux provides a royalty free development platform for cross platform development.

6.1 Implementation:-Finally the designed R-SEVA system will be in the below format. Which is suitable to the

user in all aspects and is feasible is purely embedded real time system.

    7. Testing:-The R-seva project has been developed by taking the consideration of forty stations of Hyderabad i.e. inthe station code list of on hardware all these 40 stations are included and is developed all the possibleoutlets from these 40 centers were tested and it is working successfully.

Depending on the capacity of ROM many more stations canl be included and our software will workefficiently.

    8. Updations & Extensibi lit y:-Updations and Extensibility are the two important aspects of any project. As our project can under go anyupdations in the information and can work accoudingly.

The can be extended bynetworking it any cell phone user can have anaption R-Seva in his Mobile and can access it through the network.

    9. Applications:-The R-SEVA system can be used in the various areas like1. at all the bus stations.2. at all railway stations.3. at the shipyards.4. at the airports5. at many other places where there is immense crowd.

    10. Conclusion:-This R-Seva paper help in implementing the actual R-Seva methods the designed system finally

helps the users to be aware of the information about route so many methods have been shown such asInserting Re.1/- coin, display of Route Map , Giving printout. also the processing of Route Map isshown clearly between the source and destination. Hence this project helps to have view about theworking of R-Seva and how the transactions are done in R-Seva. This paper can be later improvedextended to embedded system also.
