An exciting new Television Channel will be launching this December

2014 on the Free to air platform on DSTV/Public Channel.

This new community based, moral centered televi-sion channel under the leadership of Dr Emmanuel J Moodley and a dynamic team of participants will be broadcasting from Phoenix, Durban to other

parts of South Africa and the whole of Africa. These programmes will be broadcasted through various styles and means that will attract people from all nationalities and society and is inclusive of program-ming that will suit the entire family. Be sure to tune in!

I write this Editorial from the Old City of Jerusalem. What a thrill again

to walk in the footsteps of the Prophets, Apostles and Elders. The early martyrs also trod these streets. The greater thrill is to know that JESUS also lived around here and died and rose again in this sacred, historical and very trouble torn region.

Christmas is a time for the church to RISE AND SHINE brightly. This celebration is for the world.The believer must excel in leading the procession in a concentrated effort to show the world that we believe and accept that Jesus is the reason for the season.

Regardless of the accuracy of the day, month and year, the church that Jesus died for must unite and without any dissent join to out-smart all private interpretations and show the world that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners (1 Tim 1-15).

Decorate the homes, churches and streets ellaborately. Let the world hear the sound of Joy To The World, The Lord Is Come.

Let the world see a star again and follow it till they arrive to worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Enjoy a bright Christmas and a victorious 2015

Whatever we have and whomever we are can be summed up in one word “Grace”. For this reason we can never glory in our own achievements or

successes and need to always remember to reflect the glory back to God.

I read an account of a former Pastor of a large church who owned thousands of books which were his prized possession. Occasionally he would loan one out, but he always felt distraught when they were returned damaged, however slightly. Then God laid it upon this Pastor’s heart to start a church library with his own books. After a few months, he noticed that many of the volumes had been checked out several times. Finally, it dawned on him! He was making an investment in other people’s lives. From that time on, that Pastor felt a sense of satisfaction whenever he noticed a book showing some frazzled edges. His perspective changed. That Pastor learned a valuable lesson. God is the real owner of everything. We are just His managers.

Matthew 6:19-20, “Do not lay up treasures on earth for yourselves, where moth or rust corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. But lay up treasures in Heaven for yourselves, where neither moth nor rust corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.”

Do you own or control something that you could honestly share with others? If so, start right away. The benefit will be that you might just add

another asset to your personal portfolio in Heaven.

Wat ons het en wie ons is kan saamgevat word in een woord

“Genade”. Dit is vir die rede dat ons nooit kan roem in ons eie prestasies of suksesse nie en moet ons derhalwe altyd onthou om die eer terug te reflekteer na God.

Ek het die verhaal gelees van ‘n vorige Pastoor van ‘n groot gemeente wie se persoonlike biblioteek duisende boeke beslaan het wat dan ook sy mees gewaardeerde besitting was. Soms het dit gebeur dat hy een van hierdie boeke sou uitleen, maar gevind dat dit hom baie ontstel het wanneer die boek teruggekom en effens verniel was. God het dit toe op die Pastoor se hart gelê om ‘n kerk biblioteek te begin, met sy eie boeke. Na ‘n paar maande het hy gelet dat van hierdie boeke verskeie kere uitgeleen was. Uiteindelik het dit tot hom deurgedring dat hy eintlik besig is om ‘n belegging in ander mense se lewens te maak. Van daardie oomblik af het daar ‘n gevoel van tevredenheid op hom neergedaal wanneer hy na ‘n boek gekyk het waarvan die rante so bietjie verweer was. Sy perspektief het verander. Die Pastoor het ‘n waardevolle les geleer en dit is dat God eintlik die ware Eienaar van alles is en dat ons maar net Sy bestuurders is.

Matteus 6:19-20 “Moenie vir julle skatte bymekaar maak op die aarde, waar mot en roes verniel en waar diewe inbreek en steel nie; maar maak vir julle skatte bymekaar in die Hemel, waar geen mot

of roes verniel nie en waar diewe nie inbreek en steel nie.”

2014 Mission Trip

The College had a successful mission trip to Vryburg (Huhudi)

from 6 to 10 October 2014 under the leadership of Pastor James Ganenang of Eagles Nest Tabernacle FGC of God.

On our mission trip we managed to minister in the following areas: Hospital Ministries, Prison Ministries, Door-to-Door Evangelism, Counselling those in crisis at One Stop and conducting evening services with worship and sermons. We also managed to donate food parcels and children clothes to about twenty families.

About 196 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ as a

result of this great Evangelistic Outreach. To God be the glory!

We would like to salute Eagles Nest Tabernacle for their marvellous hospitality during our stay.

In October 2010 Pastor Lesley Barnard, of the Queenswood Assembly, came to my Panel-Beating workshop and asked me how big my faith

was. I was going to enroll at the College as a distance learner in order to study Theology. Never in my wildest dreams, however, did I imagine that I would do it full time, and that at the age of 47!

OF GOD COLLEGE

Here was Pastor Lesley, asking me whether my faith was big enough to trust God to provide for me so that I could study full time. It took me just about two seconds to decide - I was going to enroll as a Full-Time Student at the Full Gospel Church of God College. Trusting God, I closed my business and moved into residence at the College in order to begin my studies. It was a huge act of faith on the part of both my wife and myself.

It was the best decision of my life; the experiences I had were truly life-

After studying hard, and getting great support from the dedicated Faculty, I reaped the rewards in the end. I will never forget the College and will always have fond memories of my time there. May our College go from strength to strength.

So moet ons maar ons trots in ons

sak steek en gaan aanklop vir hierdie hulp, aanmoediging of sommer net nabetragting oor dit wat nou eintlik belangrik is: Ons Huwelik! En ons moet hard daaraan werk!

Pastoorspare van Wesmoot Gemeente het by Pastore Jannie en Lizelle Calitz gaan aanklop vir so heerlike huwe l i ksve r r yk ings geleentheid. En was dit

die konflik in die pastorie het ons geleer dat dit nie altyd gaan oor wat ons vir mekaar sê nie, maar eerder hoe ons dit vir mekaar sê. Dit is so belangrik om vir mekaar te kan sê: “Ek is jammer!”

Die laaste sessie van die dag het gegaan oor ouerskap. Ons besef nie altyd dat ons kinders se geestelike toekoms van ‘n gesonde huishouding afhang nie. Ons verwaarloos ons kinders omdat ons meer op ander fokus.

Baie van ons is skuldig daaraan dat ons, ons huwelike afskeep ten koste, of eerder ten bate van die bediening. Nog minder wil ons erken dat daar ook fout kan gaan in ons huwelike.

Almal kyk op na ons, want “ons pastoor” kan of mag mos nou nie ‘n voetjie verkeerd sit nie. Ons dra maskers en wil nie erken dat daar ook maar ‘n bietjie hulp benodig word wanneer dit

kom by die sake van die hart nie.

Pastoor Jannie en Lizelle het met ons uit hulle eie persoonlike ervarings en kennis gedeel. Hulle het ons die eerste dag met soveel liefde ontvang en ons het sommer dadelik tuis gevoel. Dit was ‘n heerlike Bosveld gevoel so tussen die hasies, marmotte, perde, bokke, honde, katte, voëls, apies, skilpaaie, en selfs Fiela die vet vark.

Na ‘n dag se rus, het ons weggespring met die persoonlikheidsprofiele

vraelys sodat ons mekaar in die huwelik beter kan verstaan. Daarna het ons gepraat oor emosionele wonde, die bagasie wat ons saam met ons dra en dat ons daardeur moet werk. In die sessie oor

The Vredendal FGC manse was

officially dedicated to the Lord on 19 October. The ceremony was conducted by Pastor Stafford Petersen (Peninsula Region Overseer & Member of the Executive Council) accompanied by Pastor Graham Taff (Paarl FGC). Pastor Reggie Strauss (Local Pastor) gave a

brief overview of the project that took just more than a year to complete and was built with the generous contributions of faithful members of the local church. The manse is currently in use to accommodate the Children’s ministry of the church. The vision is also to use the building as a place from where the community can be served with spiritual counselling.

Woensdag se eerste sessie het gegaan daaroor dat ons in ons huwelike moet besef dat die huwelik soos ‘n marathon wedloop is. Hier gaan dit oor klaarmaak, nie oor wie

wen nie. Die grootste drie vyande van die huwelik is rande, rokke en roem. Die volgende sessie was oor finansies, en die gedagte dat ons ook moet seker maak ons het genoeg voorsiening gemaak vir ons ou- dag. Die sessie oor die liefdestale en romanse was lekker onderwerpe om oor te gesels, en het die gesprek oorgeloop na die laaste sessie van die dag wat oor die seksuele gedeelte gegaan het. Ons het terug vertrek

na ons huise toe. Verfris, Verdiep, Ingelig, Liefdevol, ….! Die Pastoorspare van Wesmoot Gemeente is dankbaar vir die be-sonderse belewenis.
