Reaction spectroscopy -ray spectroscopy

• Resolution > 1.5 MeV with meson beams so far• Applicable to all hypernuclear states• Mass, cross sections, angular distributions, polarization….• Each reaction populates characteristic states

• Resolution as good as a few keV• Applicable to the states below nucleon emission thresholds• Angular distribution, lifetime, branching ratios…• Powerful for spin dependent interaction
