APPLICATIONS ■ High-horsepower ESP systems

 ■ 75 ⁄ 8-in or larger casings and pods

 ■ Single- or dual-ESP completions

 ■ Offshore and onshore high-profile wells

BENEFITS ■ High-efficiency, variable-rating motor

design reduces operating costs.

 ■ Trident motor lead extension’s (MLE’s)

robust plug-in design improves reliabilityand helps eliminate errors, saving

rig time.

FEATURES ■ Trident motor head and MLE with

 three separate and individually armored

leads improve phase separation, insula-

 tion, mechanical protection, and heat

dissipation.

 ■  #1AWG polyetheretherketone-(PEEK)-

insulated cable leads, with an extra-

thick 0.04-in lead sheath, are protected

against gas ingress and H2S corrosion. ■ PEEK-insulated, solid copper-conductor

cable leads provide high-current-bearing

capacity, excellent dielectric strength,

and temperature stability.

 ■ Advanced elastomers in the pot-head

connector handle wide temperature

swings.

 ■ The 61 ⁄ 4-in motor head OD is compatible

with 75 ⁄ 8-in or larger casings and pods.

■ Factory oil-filled REDA* Maximus* ESP

motor design simplifies installation and

minimizes the probability of installation-

related failures.

ESP extreme reliabilityThe newest REDA Maximus 562 series

motors, combined with Trident-400 motor

head and MLE, maximize ESP system

reliability. The innovative, robust design, with

advanced materials specifically selected

and qualified, ensure long-term, dependable

performance in the most power-demanding

and run-life-critical applications. The Trident

system includes three #1AWG, PEEK-insulated,

copper-conductor cable leads that plug

in directly to the motor through individual

connectors. This design helps minimize the

cable manipulations usually required during

 the manufacturing and assembly processes.

Such additional manipulations may lead to

undetectable insulation microcracks and

internal damage, which could reduce the

reliability of the product.

Proven, field-friendly designMaximus 562 series motors with Trident

motor heads share all the advanced reliability

features found in standard Maximus motors,

including the proprietary, factory-oil-filled

design and high-load radial support system

with polymer-lined bearings.

The high-current-carrying capacity of #1AWG

Trident-400 MLE cables enables higher horse-

power with less stator voltages and insulation

stress than previously available. Maximus 562

series Trident-400 motors allow up to 1,088 hp

at 60 Hz with only two tandem sections and up

to 1,170 hp with three tandem configurations.

A variable rating can be applied to better

match the application’s requirements to the

motor’s and to minimize motor overheating.

The Trident-400 motor head has a 6¼-in overall OD at the thickest point, which meets the

requirement of high-horsepower applications in 75 ⁄ 8-in and larger casings. This motor head OD is

also compatible with dual-pod ESP completions in 95 ⁄ 8-in and larger casings, with both systems

enclosed in 75 ⁄ 8-in individual pods.

By securing the leads tightly within the system OD, the Trident-400 motor head design ensures

that cables and pothead connectors are protected from mechanical impact and damage while

the system is being lowered in the well.
