The territories of the Project Site I (2,6 ha) - territory of “WOODISON TERMINAL” Ltd, “Ovi” Ltd and

“Eko Osta” Ltd Site II (2,9 ha) - territory of “VL Bunkerings” Ltd Site III (2,5 ha)- territory of “OVI Riga” Ltd

Progress - Site I and Site II

Remediation works are on-going according to the schedule

In April 2014 the construction permit was received and remediation works were started

Construction supervision is performed during all works’ period

Till end of February (2015) 289,4 tons or 32% from target set in the Logframe of floating oil products in groundwater were pumped out

Surface-active substance injection in wells was performed

In April and in October 2014 the Riga Environmental Board made a control visit at the project sites

Progress - Site III In May 2014 both agreements for remediation works and construction

supervision were signed

The pilot project was successfully performed from June till December 2014

In December, 2014 report about pilotproject was received by Contractor and Engineer approved submitted pilot stage final report and recommended to continue the preparation for the further implementation of the remediation project

According to agreement and FIDIC regulations construction supervision was performed all period

Till end of February (2015) 52,83 tons or 9,85% from target set in the Logframe of floating oil products in groundwater were pumped

In the summer 2015 it is planned to receive the construction permit and to start remediation works

Factors impacted Project implementation

The co-financing of project in amount of 856 678 CHF from the state budget was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on 25 November 2014

The Project Budget and Logframe is planned to be updated according to the results of the pilot project in April 2015

Publications made in SES’s and MoEPRD web page

In October, 2014 project was submitted for the Energy Globe Award

Swiss expert provided consultations about procurement documentation of remediation works
