1. Installation of Rhinojewel 5.0

If you are installing from the CD purchased through one of the Rhinojewel Authorized Resellers, place the CD into the drive and wait for the Autorun (automatic execution). In case you have the Autorun disabled open the Windows Explorer, browse for the file Rhinojewel5_XXX_SETUP.exe on the CD drive unit and double-click it to start the installation. If you are installing from the file that you downloaded from our website, double-click it to start the installation. 1.1. Welcome

Click Next to continue. 1.2. License Agreement

Click I Agree button to accept the License Agreement and continue with the installation.

1.3. Choose Install Location

Click Next to continue. 1.4. Choose the Interface type

If you prefer to use Rhinojewel's own (Koala) interface choose the first option. In case you prefer to use Rhinojewel as Rhinoceros plug-in, choose the second option. Click Next to continue.

1.5. Choose the ring size system

Choose the ring size system that you prefer and click the button Install to start the installation process. 1.6. Copying the program files

Installation program will start to copy all the necessary files on your computer.

2. Installation of the USB key (Sentinel) drivers 2.1. Starting the installation

Click Next to continue. 2.2. Sentinel License Agreement

Select the option I accept the License Agreement and click Next to continue with the installation.

2.3. Setup Type If it is the first time that you are installing Sentinel drivers this window will appear:

Select the option Complete and click Next to continue with the installation. In case you had the previous version of drivers installed, this window will appear:

Select the option Repair and click Next to continue with the installation.

2.4 Ready for the Installation

Click the button Install to start the installation process. 2.5. Copying driver files

Driver installation program will start copying all the necessary files on your computer.

2.6. Sentinel Driver Installation Completed

Once Sentinel driver has finished installing you may have to restart your computer. 2.7. Connecting the USB Sentinel key The first time you plug-in the USB Sentinel key, your operating system will inform you that it needs to configure new hardware.

Once the operating system has finished configuring the USB key it will display the status message that it is ready to use.

NOTE: If you connect USB key prior to installing its drivers, your operating system will probably open a separate window asking you to insert the CD or specify the location of driver files. When you close this window it will inform you that the installation of new hardware has failed: just run the Rhinojewel installer which will install Sentinel drivers too (go to step 2. of this guide).

3.0. TROUBLESHOOTING

3.1. "Sentinel USB protection key not found" errors If you encounter the following error message while starting Rhinojewel:

a) Check if the USB key is correctly plugged-in the USB port and that the green LED light is on. b) Check if the Sentinel USB drivers are correctly installed. Go to Control Panel > Add and remove programs - the item Sentinel Protection Installer should be listed among the programs:

c) Check if the Sentinel Services are running correctly. Go to Control Panel > Administrative tools > Services and make sure that all 3 services Sentinel Keys Server, Sentinel Protection Server and Sentinel Security Runtime are listed as Started in the column Status:

One of the possible causes of "Sentinel USB Protection Key not found" error can be that Sentinel Services are not loaded automatically on Windows Startup:

To correct it you should right-click the Sentinel Service row (on the top of Disabled type) and select Properties from the contextual menu:

In the Properties window change the Startup type to Automatic and click OK to close the window:

Once Startup type has been set to Automatic, you can start the Sentinel Service - right-click it and select Start from the contextual menu:

Service Control window will open and you will see the progress of the service starting process:

Repeat these steps for all 3 Sentinel services and try restarting Rhinojewel. d) If you checked all that is proposed above and you are still getting "Sentinel not found" message, please download this diagnostic tool: http://www2.safenet-inc.com/support/files/Sam131.exe It is self-extracting EXE file and once you unpack it in a separate folder, run Sam131.exe file and the following window will open:

Make sure to Enable Logging with marked checkbox and click the button Troubleshoot. Send the screen shot of this window after the troubleshoot is over together with the log file that will be created in the same folder to [email protected].
