1.-Abranlas, cierrenlas [Same as “Open Shut Them.”]
Abranlas, cierrenlas, [Open, close hands.]
Abranlas, cierrenlas,
Pla, pla, pla, pla, pla. [Clap,clap…]
Ábranlas, cierrenlas, [Open, close hands.]
Pónganlas acá.
2.-Aplaudir con las manos
Con esta mano derecha, [Raise right hand.]
Y esta mano izquierda, [Raise left hand.]
Se juntan las palmas para aplaudir; [Put palms together.]
Ruidoso, quedo, quedito. [Clap loudly.]
3.-La araña
La araña pirulina [Walk right fingers up left arm, extended]
Por la pared se subió.
Y mi tía Catalina
Con la escoba la barrió. [Clap hands together]
4.-Buenos días
Buenos dias, hermanos mios, [Hold up left hand.]
Contento dice pulgar, [point to baby finger.]
Indice y dedo del medio. [Point to index and middle fingers.]
Se inclinan a saludar. [Bend those three fingers while holding down ring finger with thumb.]
El anular muy sonriente [Point to ring finger.]
Una caravana hará.
Y el meñique consentido [Point to thumb.]
Su cabeza inclinara. [Bend those two fingers down.]
5.-Cinco calabacitas. [Same as ‘Five Little Pumpkins.”]
Cinco calabacitas sentadas en un portón. [Cross hands and use One hand, 5 fingers for five pumpkins.]
La primera dijo: [Hold up finger.}
“Se está hacienda tarde.”
La segunda dijo: [Hold up second finger.]
“Hay brujas en el aire.”
La tercera dijo: [Hold up third finger]
“No le hace.”
La cuarta dijo: [Hold up fourth finger]
“Es una noche de espanto.”
La quinta dijo: [Hold up fifth finger]
“Corramos, corramos!”
Uuuu hizo el viento [Wave arms]
Y se apagaron las luces. [Clap]
Las cinco calabacitas [Run fingers behind back.]
Corrieron a esconderse!
6.-*Cinco pollitos.
Cinco pollitos [Extend five fingers on one hand.]
Tiene mi tía,
Uno le canta. [First raise index finger.]
Otro le pia, [Raise middle finger.]
Y tres le tocan
La chirimía. [Then all five fingers are extended again.]
7.-Los cochinitos
[Point to each finger on one hand
For every line, begin with Little finger; end with thumb.]
Este compro un huevo,
Este encendió el fuego,
Este extrajo la sal,
Este lo guiso,
Y este pícaro gordo se lo comió.
8.-Cuantos dedos?
[Show hands with fingers extended.]

9.-Los dedos de mi mano.
[Raise left hand and point to five fingers.]
Son mis dedos
Cinco hermanos; Todos juntos
Siempre están.
Los deditos
De mi mano.
Los deditos
Cinco son:
El meñique y el pulgar, [point to thumbs and baby finger.]
El mayor y el annular [Point to middle and ring fingers.]
Y el indice, {point to index finger.]
Que es el que dice
El rumbo que has de tomar.
Cinco hermanos [Rise left hand and point too five fingers.]
Son mis dedos.
Todos juntos
Aquí están!
10.-Diez gallinitas
Cinco huevitos [Show one hand with fingers extended.}
Y cinco huevitos son diez. [Show the other hand.]
La gallina se pone [Lay one hand in top of the other, sobre de ellos otra vez. Palms together.]
Pio, pio, pio.
Qué vez? [Show ten fingers again.]
Diez pollitos esta vez. [Same as ‘Ten fluffy chickens.]
11.-Dos pajaritos. [Similar to “Two Little Blackbirds.”]
Dos pajaritos muy sentados [Extend two index fingers.]
En una cerca muy alta;
Vuela Panchito, vuela Pedrito. [Fly hands behind back.]
Vuelve Panchito, vuelve Pedrito. [Return hands to front with index
extended.]
12.-Los elefantes.
Un elefante se balanceaba [Extend one finger.]
Sobre la tela de una araña.
Cuando veian que resistía. [Swing arms together as
Fueron a llamar otro elefante. Elephant trunk.]
Dos elefantes se balanceaban [Extend two fingers.]
Sobre la tela de una araña.
Como veían que resistía [Elephant trunk motion.]
Fueron a llamar otro elefante.
Tres… [Extend three fingers.]
Cuatro… [Extend four fingers.]
Cinco… [Extend five fingers,etc…]
13.-Este…
Este era un pollito^ [Point to each finger on one hand for every Este lo pesco line –Begin with Little finger.]
Este lo mato
Este lo guiso
Y este se lo comió.

14.-Este payasito.
Este payasito tan alegre y gordo, [Point to yourself and indicare large
Este payasito travieso y sordo. Belly. Smile and cover ears to
Indicate deaf.]
Este payasito es alto y fuerte. [Raise arm to show tall.]
Este payasito canta con surte. [Make a muscle to show strong.]
Este payasito no sabe de paz [Wag finger to say “No more.”]
Porque el hace todo eso y más.
15.-Este pollito
[The finger play is like”This little pig went to the market.”]
Este era un pollito [Start with Little finger of left hand.]
Este lo pesco
Este lo mato
Este lo guiso.
Y este se lo comió.
Este pollito [Little finger right hand/]
Puso este huevito
Este lo puso a cocer
Este le puso sal
Y este perro mañoso se lo comió
Y le dio mucha sed
Y empezó a buscar agua.
16.-Hojas de té
[Two children face each other, palms meeting. Quickly flip hands so back of hands are meeting. This is done for times.]
Hojas de té,
Hojas de té,
Hojas y hojas
Y nada de té.
17.-Las hojitas
Las hojitas,
Las hojitas de los arboles se caen, [wiggle fingers down as leaves fall.]
Viene el viento y las levanta [Wiggle fingers up as winds blow.]
Y se ponen a bailar. [All spin around in dance.]
Tra-la-la-la-la.
18.-La hormiguita.
[Two fingers walk over clenched hand. Right fingers “rain” down on left hand, Two fingers run fast towards the house-underarm.]
Andaba una hormiguita
Juntando su leñita.
Cayó una llovizna
Y corrió y se metió
A su casita.
19.-La hormiguita [Another versión.]
Andaba la hormiguita
Juntando su comidita.
La coge un aguacerito,
Que corre pa’ su casita!
Y se mete a su covachita.
20.-Mis manos
Dos manos tengo [Show hands, palms up.]
Para trabajar.
Cinco dedos llevan [Five fingers standing tall.]
Para juguetear.
Tres dedos fuertes [Hold up index. Middle and ring
Pueden trabajar. Fingers.]
Dos son pequeños; [Hold up thumb and baby finger.]
Pueden ayudar.
Con mis dos manos [Sweeping gesture outward to include
Me puedo defender all children.]
Y a mis hermanos,
Todos del taller.
21.-Pin-Pon
Pin-Pon es un muñeco
muy guapo y de cartón
se lava su carita
con agua y con jabón.
Se desenreda el pelo
Con peine de marfil.
Y aunque se dé estirones
No llora ni hace así.
Pin-Pon dame la mano
Con un fuerte apretón.
Que quiero ser tu amigo
Pin-Pon, Pin-Pon, Pin-Pon.
22.-Los maderos de San Juan
(Canción Popular española propia de la Noche de San Juan -vísperas de 24 de junio-).
Aserrín, aserran,
Los maderos de San Juan.
Piden pan [Show hands, palms up.]
Y no les dan. [Wag finger to say No]
Piden queso [Show hands, palms up.]
Y les dan un hueso.
Y se sientan a llorar
En la puerta del zaguán
