Our city, set in the Circeo National Park, offers panoramic views, sunsets, and unique scenery to be enjoyed by all.My thanks go to the Harley-Davidson Italian Club and its president Giovanni Cristiani, for having chosen our city for this rally, which I am sure will be appreciated. Sabaudia, il Vice Sindaco Felice Pagliaroli, e tutti coloro che ci stanno assistendo durante la preparazione di questo evento e che ci condurranno sicuramente alla sua realizzazione in modo fantastico. La scelta di Sabaudia è stata una conseguenza dei successi riportati durante il III° e IV° National Rally H-DIC Meeting di Primavera del 1997 e del 1998. L’area scelta per la realizzazione del raduno a pochi metri dal mare, con un campeg-gio libero in una zona attrezzata è la stessa che ancora oggi, dopo tanti anni, ha una natura incontaminata e rigogliosa. L’International Rally H-DIC 20° Anniversario è un momento di fondamentale importanza per tutti i Membri dell’H-DIC, in quanto vuole evidenziare nel mondo dei Bikers’ Italiani ed Europei quei valori di Fratellanza, Amicizia, Rispetto e Stima Reciproca, che tutti Noi, Bikers anziani, abbiamo vissuto e dei quali abbiamo parlato cercando di trasferirli ai giovani. La società attuale non aiuta a comprendere questi valori che sicuramente ci farebbero vivere meglio, anzi esalta l’aggressività e il non rispetto del proprio simile e tantomeno del mondo animale . L’H-DIC in questi anni passati si è stretto all’interno, si è rafforzato nelle strutture e soprattutto nei valori dando vita cosi ad una “FAMIGLIA” più solida, compatta ed omogenea, dimostrando che : “MAI BISOGNA TAGLIARE CIO’ CHE SI PUO’ SCIOGLIERE”. I would like to warmly thank the Mayor of Sabaudia, Maurizio Lucci, who has strongly sought that our "20th Anniversary H-DIC International Rally for 2014" take

place in Sabaudia, along with the Vice Mayor Felice Pagliaroli, and all those who are assisting in the preparation of this event, that will certainly lead to its outcome in a fantastic way. The choice of Sabaudia was based on the former successes of the III° and IV° H-DIC National Rally in the spring of 1997 and 1998. The area chosen for the rally is close to the sea, with free camping in an area that is the same today, even after so many years, having a lush and unspoiled nature. The 20th Anniversary H-DIC International Rally is a time of fundamental importance for all Members of H-DIC, because it highlights in the world of Italian and European Bikers, those values of Brotherhood, Friendship, Mutual Respect and Esteem that all of us, Biker “elders” have lived and have talked about, trying to transfer them on to the younger bikers. Today's society does not help us understand these values that surely would let us live better, and in fact, enhances the aggression and the non-respect of others, let alone this animal world. H-DIC in these past years has become tighter, strengthening its structures with specific emphasis on values giving rise to a more solid "FAMILY", compact and homogeneous, demonstrating that: "NEVER CUT WHAT CAN BE RESOLVED". Finalmente è arrivato il momento, il momento in cui Noi ragazzi cresciuti con i racconti della "vera vita da biker" con quelle storie che "prima era tutta un'altra cosa" e che

ovviamente "era tutto molto più bello", di far vivere quelle storie a chi non le ha mai vissute e di farle rivivere a tutte quelle persone che hanno i ricordi troppo sbiaditi da qualche anno in più ma che vanno ancora in giro con quel "pezzo di ferro" che ha fatto la storia, che tanto amiamo e che ora mi fa scivolare via la penna sul foglio. E' arrivato il momento, grazie a Noi ragazzi con l'aiuto INDISPENSABILE di quelle persone che ci hanno svezzato, di riproporre un raduno all'insegna dell'amicizia della stima e del rispetto e non come purtroppo accade sempre più spesso all'insegna del businness che ci fa perdere di vista i veri valori grazie ai quali il Nostro club è arrivato a compiere 20 anni di storia. Storia di grandi uomini come il Nostro Presidente Giovanni Cristiani, meglio conosciuto in tutta la compagine biker Europea come "Giovannone", fondatore del Nostro club, uno dei primi fortunati possessori di Harley-Davidson che io conosca, che ogni giorno vive la Sua vita per il club trasmetten-doci tutta la Sua passione per la Nostra "Famiglia". E come Roberto Marengo, Vice Presidente e Responsabile Regionale del Piemonte, che quanto ad impegni, sacrifici e passione è pari solo a Giovannone. E' grazie a persone come Loro se nel 2014 l' H-DIC spegnerà 20 candeline ed è grazie alla Loro esperienza se oggi stiamo lavorando per organizzare un raduno che possa soddisfare tutti coloro che parteciperanno affinchè rimanga loro un bellissimo ricordo di una tre giorni passata in allegria e spensieratezza, ascoltando buona musica in compagnia di vecchi e nuovi amici, passeggiando tra gli stand e ammirando tutte le moto che saranno esposte o semplicemente parcheggiate, magari partecipando con la propria moto ai giochi che organiz-zeremo, il tutto sempre e comunque immersi nella natura della Città di Sabaudia, luogo ricco di bellezze paesaggistiche e naturali. Un ringraziamento particolare va al Sindaco di Sabaudia Maurizio Lucci per la fiducia accordataci ed a tutti i suoi collaboratori che hanno fatto si che “ l’International Rally H-DIC 20° Anniversario 2014” possa essere realizzato nel miglior modo possibile come da tradizione motociclistica.A.S.R.R.

Finally the time has come, a moment in which all of us guys grew up hearing the tales of the "real biker life," with such stories like "before it was much different," and

of course "it was all much more beautiful," a present moment for those who have never experienced it, or a time to relive it for those who have faded memories, now being a little older, even if they are still going around with that "piece of iron" that made history, that we love so much, all of which leads me to calmly write these thoughts down on paper. It is time, due to us guys and with the INDESPENSIBILE help of others who have asked us to propose a rally based on friendship, respect, and esteem, and not what unfortunately happens more often in the business world that makes us lose sight of these true values by which our club has been based on during this 20 year history. History of great men such as our President Giovanni Cristiani, better known throughout the European Union as biker "Giovannone", the founder of our club, one of the first fortunate owners of a Harley-Davidson that I know, in which every day he lives his life for the club by transmitting all of his passion towards our "Family". And also, as Roberto Marengo, National Vice President and Regional Head of the Piedmont region, of which has a certain commitment, sacrifice, and passion matched only by Giovannone. It is due to people like them that in 2014, H-DIC will blow-out its 20 birthday candles, and it is thanks to their experience that today we are working to organize a rally that will satisfy all of those who participate, leaving them a wonderful memory of three days in a cheerful and carefree atmosphere, listening to good music in the company of old and new friends, strolling among the booths, and admiring all the show bikes or those just parked, perhaps by participating with their own bikes in games that will be organized, everything and always immersed in nature of the city of Sabaudia, a rich place in natural scenic beauty. A special thanks goes to the Mayor of Sabaudia Maurizio Lucci for his support and to all his collabora-tors who have ensured that the "20th Anniversary H-DIC International Rally for 2014" can be achieved in the best way possible as motorcycling tradition.

Sabaudia è una piccola città adagiata sull’Agro Pontino, posta a 100 Km da Roma e a circa 150 Km da Napoli e rappresenta un luogo ideale per adulti e

bambini. Situata in un territorio caratterizzato da un mare fortunatamente intatto, un lago memore di remote vestigia, un bosco testimone di innumerevoli storie di umana fatica e un monte teatro di antichissimi miti, affascina per le sue torri bianche, per gli edifici squadrati e disadorni che ci riportano immediatamente alla memoria la pittura metafisi-ca di Giorgio De Chirico. Città di fondazione per eccellen-za, ha forti richiami al futurismo di Filippo Tommaso Marinetti e coniuga in maniera perfetta la tradizione italica dei materiali costruttivi, l’impianto di origine romana, basato sul “cardo” e “decumano”, e la struttura urbana medievale. Realizzata in 180 giorni lavorativi e 253 ufficia-li, come si legge sulla torre civica, compie quest’anno 80 anni di età, pochissimi per un centro urbano, ma abbastanza per chi qui è nato e cresciuto. Il boom degli anni sessanta non ne ha stravolto l’immagine, ne il suo assetto urbanisti-co, a differenza di altri centri pontini, il centro storico è rimasto intatto, così come l’ambiente circostante. Grazie anche al lavoro svolto dal Parco Nazionale del Circeo Sabaudia ha mantenute integre le sue caratteristiche. Il suo carattere mediterraneo è dato dai colori caldi a avvolgenti e dai tetti a terrazza, ma la caratteristica forse più importante è la sua accessibilità: la struttura urbana lineare e pianeg-giante ne fa un luogo ideale per tutti. Attraversando il ponte, lo sguardo incontra il promontorio del Circeo , sentinella di tutto l’Agro Pontino che, attraverso le sue forme, ci ricorda Circe, la bella addormentata, il cui corpo è disteso dalle verdi pianure all’azzurro mare che ci invita, quasi con un grande balzo, a raggiungere l’arcipelago pontino.

SABAUDIASabaudia is a small town nestled on Agro Pontino, some 100 km from Rome and 150 Km from Naples, and is an ideal place for adults and children. Situated

in an area characterized by the fortunately intact sea, a lake known for remote vestiges, a forest having seen countless stories of human effort, and a mountain full of ancient myths, fascinating for its white towers and square and simple buildings that immediately remind us of the metaphysical paintings of Giorgio De Chirico. A City founded on excellence, Sabaudia has strong references to the futurism of Filippo Tommaso Marinetti and combines in a perfect way the Italic tradition of building materials, the installation of Roman origin, based on the "cardo" and "decumano" styles, and the medieval urban structure. Constructed in 253 days, of which 180 were working days as stated on the tower, this year it turns 80 years of age, very few for a city center, but enough for those who were born and raised here. The boom of the sixties did not upset the image, nor its urban structure, unlike other Pontino centers. The Agro Pontino city center remained intact, as well as the surrounding environment. Thanks to the work of the National Park of Circeo, Sabaudia has kept its features intact. Its Mediterranean character is given by warm colors and flat roofs, but perhaps the most important the characte-ristic is its accessibility: the urban structure makes it an ideal place for all. After coming accross the bridge, the eye meets the cape of Circeo, the sentinel of Agro Pontino which, through its shapes, reminds us of Circe, the sleeping beauty, whose body is lying between the green plains and the blue sea, inviting us, virtually with a great leap, to reach the island chain of Pontino.

ESCURSIONI EXCURSIONSARCHEOLOGIA NEL VERDE Villa di Domiziano: un giorno da “imperatori”.Sulle sponde del lago di Paola insistono le rovine di una fastosa Villa Imperiale, immerse nell’intricata foresta, in uno degli angoli più nascosti del Parco Nazionale del Circeo.

NATURA… IN TUTTI I SENSI!Un’esperienza nel bosco per imparare ad osservare le cose che spesso sfuggono, adottando strategie per utilizzare al meglio i nostri sensi.

EHI DI CASA!Il bosco nasconde tante “case” diverse.In località Cerasella un percorso alla scoperta del bosco porterà alla ricerca delle “case, delle tracce e dei segni di presenza dei suoi abitanti.

IL PROMONTORIO DEL CIRCEONel bosco della Sibilla.Un sentiero percorre la lecceta, incontrando vecchie carbonaie e cisterne romane, arrivando a toccare l’inizio delle dune costiere a Torre Paola.

LA DUNALa luce dorata della luna.Colori, suoni e profumi si intensificano nel tramonto estivo.Quando il giorno incontra la notte una passeggiata lungo la “strada interrotta” permetterà di conoscere meglio odori, suoni e colori di mare, duna e lago, che solo queste ore sanno regalare.

VILLA FOGLIANOI segreti del giardino della Contessa.Il borgo di Villa Fogliano era un’antica residenza della famiglia Caetani, ora una splendida cornice che permette di godersi la vista sul lago e la rievocazione di storie di uomini e piante.

ARCHAEOLOGY IN GREEN Villa of Domiziano: a day to be "emperor". On the shores of Lake Paola exist the ruins of a magnifi-cent Imperial Villa, immersed in the intricate forest, in one of the most hidden corners of the Circeo National Park.

THE CAPE OF CIRCEOIn the mystic Sibilla forest. A footpath runs besides the oak trees, meeting old charco-al deposits and Roman cisterns, and arriving at start of the coastal dunes at Paola Tower.

THE DUNE The golden light of the moon. Colors, sounds and smells are intensified in a summer sunset. When the day met the night for a walk along an "interrupted road" lets you better know the scents, sounds and colors of the sea, lake and dunes, that only these hours can give you.

VILLA FOGLIANO Secrets of the garden of the Countess. The village of Villa Fogliano was an ancient residence of the Caetani family, now a beautiful setting that lets you enjoy the view of the lake and the re-enactment of stories of men and plants.
