FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

This week I have several items to bring to your attention. ! !!We returned Thursday from a wonderful three day Assembly of all the Friars. 124 of us en-joyed reconnecting with each other and caught up with all that has been going on in our lives and minis-tries. We had challenging speakers on various aspects of how we might do our ministries much more effec-tively, inspiring liturgies and time to relax. Thank you for your prayers. One disappointment is that neither Brother James nor Father Senan were able to attend due to their not feeling well. It is good to be back at St. John's! I am very happy to announce that we are able to take 34 Manna bags to St. Joan of Arc Food Bank. Thank you for your help in assisting those who rely on food banks for their nutritional needs. Monday is Memorial Day. There is one Mass at 9:00 am. Our Catholic Charities Collection amounts to $1,035.00 at last count. Thank you for your gener-osity. Our goal for this year is $21,739.00. Volunteers needed to serve as Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick at Jefferson Hospital. If interest-ed, please call Father John at 215-563-4145x23.
