    improving their own learning behaviour.

    understanding:

group and individualised learning for each child to understand

essential material and techniques to manage school and extra-curricular learning.

    Motivation and

    guidance:

preparing children to set aims and to overcome barriers to

reach long-term goals for further education, training and

    employment.

Since 2010, fifteen children have been supported with over 20 hours per week of

learning and mentoring in morning and evening sessions at the Sajeevta

neighbourhood learning centre in Gandhinagar. Children have been selected

where families lack formal education and resources to effectively support childrens

school learning. Four learning mentors work at the Gandhinagar neighbourhood

centre running classes with the children and working with families, teachers and

    the school management team.

Four Learning Mentors run classes 5 days a week: with pre-school children in the mornings and

with primary-level children in the evenings at the Gandhinagar neighbourhood centre.
