    Elbows

Sentron B usw ay elbow s provide a sim -ple, convenient m ethod of changing the

direction (left, right, up or dow n) of a

busw ay run. All elbow s are shipped w itha joint stack assem bly on one end for

direct connection to the busw ay system .

Flatw ise elbow s are used for left and

right directional changes w hen thebusw ay system is m ounted in the

horizontal plane; bus bars run parallel to

the floor. The nam eplate (N P)lies on theneutral side of flatw ise elbow s, w hich is

the side of the elbow that faces the floor.

The joint stack assem bly m ay be m ovedto the opposite leg to change the orienta-

tion from left to right/right to left.

Edgew ise elbow s create up and dow n

directional changes. The nam eplate andneutral side lie on the outside of the bend

for edge up elbow s. The nam eplate and

neutral side lie on the inside of the bendfor edge dow n elbow s. The joint stack

assem bly on edgew ise elbow s can not

be m oved in order to change orientationfrom up to dow n/dow n to up.

For both edgew ise and flatw ise elbow s

the sum of the tw o legs m ay not exceed

    Tees

Tees are used to sim plify directional andplane orientation changes in a busw ay

system . Tees can m ake 90 bends left

or right, and up and dow n along thebusw ay run. All tees are supplied w ith

tw o joint stack assem blies.

Flatw ise tees are used to create left

and right branches. The nam eplate (N P)lies on the neutral side of the tee.

Edgew ise tees are used to createbranches that stem up or dow n from

the busw ay run. The nam eplate and

neutral side lie tow ard the floor on edgedow n tees w hile the nam eplate and

neutral side lie tow ard the ceiling on edgeup tees. Edgew ise tees are housed in a

special box enclosure to provide rigidity

and shield against dirt and dust.

Service H eads are used to connect

busw ay to a service entrance. In the

Sentron Busw ay line, 3-single phase

service heads and 3-phase service headconnections are available. The standard

service entrance connection is the3-phase service head w hich consists of

one service head for all three phases.

3-single phase service heads consist ofthree heads one for each phase and

m ay be used to m eet the requirem ents ofcertain applications. To ensure ease of

installation of incom ing cables, both types

of Sentron service heads are constructedso that the lugs face the G lastic bottom

    Panelboards and Meter Center Modules

M eter center m odules provide a quick

and convenient m ethod of connecting to

m etering devices for both com m ercial

    and residential applications.

M eter center m odules connect at the side

    of a busw ay run to special joint stacks;

these special joints can be added to exist-

ing busw ay to accom m odate m eter center

m odule connections. W hen using m ultiple

m etering stacks, m ain disconnects are

available if the system reaches the 6 circuit

rule (see m etering bulletin for further

inform ation). Panelboards can be custom

engineered for use w ith Sentron Busw ay.

    Panelboards are installed at special

engineered joint stacks and are pre-

assem bled in the factory to ensure

    quality connections.
