What do I receive when I register? When you join the U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills Program you will receive the following items from U.S. Figure Skating to make your skating experience more fun and rewarding:

• Official Basic Skills membership card• Basic Skills record book and stickers• General sports accident insurance coverage• Year patch, denoting membership year• Participation in lessons and skill assessments associated with the program• Opportunity to compete and perform in approved events• Basic Skills Edition of SKATING magazine• All for a $15 Registration Fee for all LTS participants; a United States

Figure Skating requirement; expiration is 6/30/2016Frequently Asked Questions:When should I enroll? Enroll at least ONE week in advance in order to receive free public skate passes. What time should I arrive? Allow at least 20 minutes prior to class to get your skates on.What should I wear? Layers of clothing will help the skater allow freedom of movement and gloves are a must! We strongly suggest helmets for all beginners.Make Ups? You are welcome to make up a missed class during any other classes offered during your same session period at both of our East and West Shore locations.

So you want to learn how to skate? Whether it’s to prepare for Ice Hockey or Figure Skating… You’ve come to the right place! Twin Ponds welcomes you to the U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills Program. The Basic Skills program will help you learn all the FUNdamentals of skating – it’s simply the best way to take to the ice. The Basic Skills program is designed by U.S. Figure Skating to be the best beginning ice skating program that is fun, challenging, and rewarding.  Twin Ponds Basic Skills Learn to Skate Program runs throughout the year and is taught by U.S. Figure Skating Certified instructors.

1 HOUR CLASS:Each class consists of first 15 minutes is practice followed by a 30 minute group lesson,and then 15

minute practice (exception: Tuesday night class). During the practice times, many skaters take a private or semi-private lesson from one of our skating professionals of their choice.
