Our vision of Sigma Extrusions was brought to life early in 2015 after years of planning, structuring and synergizing to create an ideal plastics extrusion business for the Asian and Oceania market sector.

Sigma Extrusions’ establishment was aided by one Mr. Frank Vallelonga, the Director of All Polymer Extrusions in Sydney, Australia.

A vast amount of work methods and processing technology has been transferred and amalgamated from All Polymer Extrusions

Sigma Extrusions is based in Semenyih, Selangor which is approximately 40km in the outskirts of the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.

Our factory is situated on a land size of 8140 sq. feet with a built-up area of 10,000 sq. feet inclusive of offices.

Sigma Extrusions will become the number one supplier of superior quality plastic extrusions in the Asian and Oceania region within the next 5 years. We will achieve this by implementing and adhering to strict process management procedures pertaining to the design, control and improvements of our manufacturing processes and products, in-line with our mission to increase the value through-out the supply chain.

Sigma extrusions is a one-stop-shop for all your plastic extrusion needs. We have the ability to service our customers’ requirement from initial stage of producing CAD designs and fabricating the required moulds through to delivering the final product that fulfills your requirements.

Sigma Extrusions also prides itself as a specialized manufacturer of engineering plastics extrusions and profiles for mechanical applications.

Our Capabilities


Sigma Extrusions dabbles in the processing of various plastics, such as:--

• Polycarbonate- Advantages:- Good Impact Strength, Good Optical Clarity, High Heat Resistance (155 Deg C), Available as Flame Retardant Grade (UL94 V-0) Disadvantages:- Poor Chemical Resistance, Poor UV Resistance

Our Capabilities


Acrylics- Advantages:- Good Weather Resistance and UV Resistance, Good Optical Clarity, Can be Impact Modified to Improve Toughness, however clarity will be compromised Disadvantages:- General Purpose Grades of Acrylics (PMMA) are brittle and prone to crack, Flame Retardant grades are not available

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)- Advantages:- Excellent Impact Resistance, Moderate Heat, Chemical and Moisture Resistance, Available in Flame Retardant grade (UL94-V0) Disadvantages:- Limited Weathering Resistance

Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE)- Available as;• TPE-O - Thermoplastic Olefins (co-continues hard/soft blend)• TPE-S - Styrenic SBS, SEBS or SEPS Compound• TPE-V - Vulcanized PP/EPDM Compound• TPE-E - Copolyester compound• TPE-U - Thermoplastic Polyurethane• TPE-A - Thermoplastic Polyamide• All hard/soft TPE combinations have rubber like

properties with varying levels of temperature resistance, chemical resistance, flexibility and recovery after being under load

• These materials are also very prone to absorb moisture

Rigid PVC- Advantages:- Good Dimensional Stability, Non-

Flammable, Good Weather Resistance and Comparatively Low Cost Disadvantages:- Higher Density than many plastics, Limited Thermal Capability

In addition to these we also have the ability to produce ASA, Expandable Soft PVC (FOAM), Polyolefin (HDPE, LDPE), Polypropylene (PP) and Co-Polyester (PETG) to name a few.

I. Lighting-

Lighting companies remain one of the more vast users of engineering plastic for the purpose of light diffusion.

Light diffusers have been used in conjunction with aluminum bodies in lighting applications and these diffusers are custom made to suit the aluminum bodies in order to allow for good fitting and locking of the plastic diffuser to the aluminum bodies that house the light fittings.

These light diffusers are predominantly made from Polycarbonate or Acrylic Blend that come in Clear, Opal, LED White, Frost or Ice colors and can be made with or without reed patterns depending on the light refraction needs of our customers.

A wide variety of plastic extrusions we produce are used in the Building & Architectural sector.

These range from Rigid PVC inserts used in floor trims, to Polycarbonate and High Impact Acrylic ‘Skylights” for natural Lighting used in patios and pergolas, to braided Flexible PVC foam strips used on the edges of roller doors in garages, to Santoprene (TPE) bumper inserts used in windows to cushion impact from the sliding windows.

These extrusions are often made to requirements specified by our customers using plastics that suit specific application needs such as impact resistance, outdoor weather- ability, UV resistance, working life span and elasticity among others.

Clear Polycarbonate tubes, Clear PVC label covers, Acrylic rods, Triangle Fillets and H- Sections are among some of the large volume extrusions we make to cater to our customers dealing with signage and displays.

Some of the extruded profiles that you may have come across in your daily activities are, Label Covers that are used to display price tags in supermarkets such as Giant and Tesco, and also plastic extrusions that are used as lighting accessories on poker machines and at the base of escalators for safety purposes.

IV. Mining

One of the more popular uses of plastic extrusion in this field are tubes for soil sampling which come in Clear Rigid PVC providing good chemical resistance and impact properties at a low cost. In some cases, Polycarbonate is a preferred material option given its superior optical clarity.

Other examples of extrusion used in this area are channels for water troughs and various multi-hollow profiles that are used in the construction of temporary barricades and detachable walls.
