e tea ceremony drilled home the message that the Chinese really do love their tea, and the fact that the Chinese have an extraordinary range of teas to choose from. e paintings and calligraphy gave me an insight into a couple of the long-held traditional prac-tices that have been passed on to those of the modern generation, and the skill which the demonstrators displayed in their respective crafts was truly admirable. By.Wondong Kim (ep of I-Shanghai 2014 Winter From Austrlia)

History seminar today at Dufan Unversity. A very impressive (and well-selected) cohort of students- Med student, political scientist, and English major- made discussion of the Opium Wars and its ramications (as well as plenty other general chinwagging) far from tired and dusty. Outspoken, articulate, and courteous- the conversation was both edi-fying and convivial, and felt to me an exercise the world could do an awful lot more with. I hope the feeling was mutual!By.KA Sabbour (ep of I-Shanghai 2014 Winter From Russia)

Shanghai is such an amazing city. It has the understanding to be one of the most modern cities in the world and every time you can explore something else. Especially by night when all the places in the city are lightened you can feel the special charm of that city. Sitting near the riverside at the Bund or Pudong, having a drink and just look at the dierent kind of buildings I enjoyed so much. By.Heike(ep of I-Shanghai 2014 Spring From Germany)
