MS OFFICE SEMINAR
Antonio Messer (photo at le ) speaks during a Web & Technology Club seminar on the differences between Microso Office 2010 and 2007. When comparing MS Office 2010 and 2007, there are very few changes. One no ceable change, however, is that the large “Office” bu on in upper le ‐hand corner in MS Office 2007, has been replaced with a “File” tab in MS Office 2010. Office 2010 has returned to a more user‐friendly, familiar menu feel from previous versions. MS Office 2007 had both a “Prepare” and a “Publish” Bu on, while Office 2010 does not. Both versions of MS Office retain the ability for users to customize the upper tool bar to their individual liking. The Web & Tech Club mee ngs as every Tuesday un l week 12 at 9:20 am in Room 102. Discussions on Web Browsers, Microso Office 2010, File Management, Excel, Security, purchasing a computer and how to set up a computer are some of the topics to be covered.

Campus Club Happenings MATH CLUB NOMINATES KINGS AND QUEENS FOR WINTER
2011
The Math Club is pleased to announce that Morggan Amidon, Kari Triz and Lisa Scime have been nominated as the Math Queens, and Adam Serianni as the Math King for the Winter 2011 Semester. These individuals were chosen be‐cause of their great ap tude for math learning.
In the photo at le , Manzoor Syed, Math Club Faculty Advisor, presents Math Queen Kari Triz a gi from the club. According to Mr. Syed, this uniquely styled tote bag is hand‐made by the cra smen from Kashmir, a gorgeous valley in the mountains of the Himalayas bordering Tibet and India. The material used is handspun sheep’s wool for embroidery on hand loomed co on fabric. The handle is made of wil‐low wood. It normally takes 2 to 3 days for a cra sman to work on this sized bag. The coarseness of the finish is an indi‐ca on that it is handmade.

BSC 8 SPRING College Nominates 34 to National Technical Honor Society
Bryant & Stra on College’s Amherst Campus is proud to announce that 34 students have been nominated for Na onal Technical Honor Society (NTHS) for the Spring 2011 semester:
This is the largest group of students the Amherst Campus has ever had nominated in a single term. For the past year, the number of students nominated each semester for NTHS has steadily increased with an average of 25 students nominated each term. Our recent Gradua on Ceremony in May proves this incredible achievement, with 53% of our AOS/AAS class gradua ng with NTHS Honors.
NTHS was created in 1984 with the purpose of promo ng educa onal excellence and increasing career mobility in the workforce. NTHS has become a na onwide organiza on with thousands of High Schools and Colleges having ac ve chapters. In order to be nominated, a student must have a cumula ve GPA of at least 3.75 and earn at least 24 credit hours at the college. Along with those qualifica ons, nominees must obtain 2 le ers of recommenda on, fill out an applica on, and pay a one‐ me fee of $25. A candlelit pinning ceremony is then held to officially induct the students into the organiza on. At gradua on, NTHS students wear a special NTHS honor cord and tassel.
Affilia on with NTHS brings many opportuni es for students including networking, scholarships, and future recommenda ons for college and employment. For more informa on on Bryant & Stra on’s NTHS Chapter, please contact Bri any Cozad in Student Services at
