    Visoka šola za dizajn v Ljubljani, pridružena članica Univerze na Primorskem ponuja inter-disciplinarni učni program, ki postavlja šolo med sodobne evropske visokošolske ustanove s področja oblikovanja. Visokošolskemu študijskemu programu »DIZAJN«, ki ima tri smeri: Notranja oprema, Tekstilije in oblačila ter Vizualne komunikacije, je v letu 2012 sledila akreditacija magistrskega študija 2. stopnje. V letih obstoja smo zvesto sledili temeljnemu cilju študijskega programa, ki stremi k usposabljanju oblikovalcev s strokovnimi znanji, potrebnimi za pripravo inovativnih dizajnerskih rešitev, ki bodo povečale možnosti prodora in razvoja sloven-skega oblikovanja. Uspehi in rezultati preteklih let so omogočili, da Visoka šola za dizajn danes ponosno stopa na pot preobrazbe v Fakulteto za dizajn. Vsaka preobrazba nam prinaša nekaj poseb-

    nega, vidnega ali nevidnega. Biti viden ali neviden – to je zdaj vprašanje s katerim so se študenti pod mentorstvom strokovnjakov ukvarjali v akademskem letu 2011/12. Nekateri projekti bolj, drugi manj so se dotikali krovne teme INVISIBLES in nastali so zanimivi, kreativni in inovativni tekstilni ter oblačilni izdelki, ki vam jih s pono-som predstavljamo v prvem katalogu Katedre za oblikovanje tekstilij in oblačil. Tekstilije in oblačila nas obdajajo v okolju v katerem živimo, delamo in se zabavamo – so del nas in ker je ustvarjalnost, ki smo jo v zadnjih letih krepili na Visoki šoli za dizajn, dobila VIDNA krila, vam sporočam, da bomo v prihodnje na Katedri za oblikovanje tekstilij in oblačil skrbeli za vidnost in seveda kreativnost izdelkov – ki so del nas. Pre-prosto zato, ker želimo biti prisotni in biti VIDNI.

    Academy of Design in Ljubljana, associated member of University of Primorska offers an in-terdisciplinary study programme that situates the school among modern European higher education institutions in the field of design. The undergradu-ate programme »DESIGN« that offers education in the following three area: Interior design, Textiles and clothing design and Visual communication, was upgraded in 2012 with the accreditation of the master programme »Design«. We have faithfully followed the basic goal of the program, which is to educate designers with the required skills to cre-ate innovative design solutions that will increase the potential for better market infiltration and development of Slovenian design. Thus the suc-cess and results of the past years have enabled the Academy of Design to proudly stand on its way to transform to Faculty of Design. Each transformation creates something spe-

    cial, visible or invisible. To be visible or invisible – is the question that students were resolving under the men-torship of experts in the academic year 2011/12. Some projects have more, some less embraced the umbrella theme INVISIBLES and the results are interesting, creative and innovative textile and clothing products, which we are proud to present in this first catalogue of the Department of Textile and Clothing Design. Textiles and clothing accompany us in the en-vironment we live, work and have fun in – therefore they form an inherent part of us. By cultivating cre-ativity at the Academy we have grown VISIBLE wings and we stand firm that we shall continue to procure visibility of design and creative products developed at the Department of Textile and Clothing design, be-cause they are a part of us. Simply because, we want to be present and be VISIBLE.

Nastale kreacije in modni dodatki so ustvarjeni iz starih neuporabnih oblačil v kombinaciji z embalažnimi izdelki blagovne znamke »MU« Ljubljanskih mlekarn.Students have participated in the national environmental campaign Clean Slovenia 2012.     Pri projektu so študenti razvili močne dizajnerske oblačilne podobe, ki odsevajo njihove koncepte, pridobljena znanja in spretnosti. Nastali inovativni dizajni predstavljajo nove možnosti v razvoju funkcionalnih oblačil in dinamiki silhuete človeškega telesa.

    On the project students have developed strong design images that reflect their concepts, knowledge and skills. The results represent new possibilities in the development of functional clothing and dynamics of the body silhouette.

    Projekt spodbuja obravnavo besede nevidni v različnih pomenih besede. Nekateri študenti so pri razvoju ideje poudarili nekaj, kar je sicer nevidno ali skrili, kar je vidno. Drugi so opozorili na skupino ljudi, ki so zaradi svoje drugačnosti v ozadju, ali opozorili na druge omejitve, ki označujejo posameznike v družbi.

    The project Invisibles stimulates understanding of different insights into the meaning of the word and encourages finding creative solution by realising a way of styling or a collection. Do we want to show something that is invisible or hide something that is apparent? Do we want to draw attention to the group of people that is because of its distinction hidden in the back?

    Študenti so pri projektu upoštevali nekatere vidike, ki so vezani na izvorno kolek-cijo Toper in jo nadgradili v model, ki eno izmed lastnosti kolekcije potencira in s tem pritegne pozornost zaradi kreativnosti, unikatnosti, nenavadnosti, neformal-nih oblik ali nase opozori kako drugače.

    The projects has stimulated students to take into account certain aspects that are related to the original collection Toper and to upgrade the model by accentuating one of the elements of the collection and thus draw attention with its creativity, uniqueness, peculiar or informal shapes or by other distinctions.

Prof. Petra Bole, assistant: Almina DurakovićidentitetaRaziskovanje identitete skozi gibanje Neue Slowenishe Kunst je bilo del mednarodnega pro-jekta, kjer so študenti z vidika lastnega razumevanja gibanja in tedanjega časa, pripovedovali svojo osebno zgodbo. Iz konceptualnih idejnih zasnov so nastala oblačila, ki s svojo provoka-tivnostjo in drugačnostjo obravnavajo probleme naše sodobne družbe. Exploring identity through the movement Neue Slowenishe Kunst was a part of an international project, where students in terms of their own understanding of movement and the period in question, expressed their personal story. Lara PlajhSlovenian identity – (in)visibility(ne)vidnostV okviru projekta so študenti raziskovali pomen slovenske identitete ter njeno vidnost oziroma nevidnost v današnjem času. Navdih so črpali iz vzorcev modrotiska – ene najstarejših tiskarskih tehnik na Slovenskem. Vzorce so potiskali na zavese podjetja Velana d.d. z barvami podjetja Mumino d.o.o.Within this project students explored the importance of the Slovenian identity and its visibility or invisibility today. They drew inspiration from the samples of blue printing – one of the oldest printing techniques in Slovenia.   • 2Polstene tekstilijeFelted interior textilesza interierPri projektu so se študenti posvetili oblikovanju izdelkov za opremo interierja, predvsem senčilom svetil in izraznim vlaknenim formacijam. Končni izdelki so bili zasnovani kot up-orabni predmeti, izdelani v tehnikah suhega in mokrega polstenja. Poleg svoje uporabnosti nosijo individualna razmišljanja svojih snovalcev v okvirih krovne naloge (ne)vidnega.On the felting project students devoted their attention to the interior design products, above all to lampshades and expressive fiber formations. The final products have been conceived as applied objects, manufactured in dry-needle felting and wet felting technique. Moreover they carry the individual reflection of their creators within the topic frame of the (in) visible.Mentor: Assist.     Machine-embroidered lace

    Pri projektu so študenti spoznavali prosojne tvorbe čipk, njihov pojav, raznovrstnost, zgodovinski razvoj in uporabo, tako na področju oblikovanja kot tudi umetnosti. Pos-vetili so se raziskavi osnovam tehnike zračne čipke in v tej tehniki zasnovali kreacije uporabnih ali izraznih izdelkov.

    The project enabled the students to receive knowledge about laces transparent formations, their appear-ance, variety, historical development, and application in the field of design and art as well. They dedicat-ed their special attention particularly to the machine embroidered lace basic technique. With the help of this technique students designed and manufactured some excellent usable or expressive artistic objects.

    Pri projektu so se študenti posvetili predstavitvi nevidnega na španskih stenah velikega formata. Temo nevidno so predstavili preko medčloveških odnosov, odnosov do sebe sa-mega in odnosov posameznika do drugih v človeški družbi. V različnih tekstilnih tehnikah so razmišljanja prenesli v likovna dela s pomočjo igre prosojnosti, barve in oblikovanja vlaken.

    The students developed the task dedicating their attention to the presentation of the invisible on large sized folding screens. They presented the theme invisible applying the interpersonal relationship, the relation of the person to oneself and the relation of the individual to others in the human society. The students transferred these reflections in their works by the help of transparency, color, fiber design in diversified textile techniques.

    Vlaknena formacija predstavlja arhetip reševanja notranjega nevidnega problema življenjske situ-acije, ki nas je potisnila v kot in prisilila na pot reševanja. To dejanje nas obogati za nenadomestljivo izkušnjo. Arhetip iskanja poti k samemu sebi se izraža s postopnim izčiščevanjem, s stopnjevanjem prosojnosti, dodajanjem zračnosti in uporabo prispodob meduze, ptiča, leta …

    The fiber formation represents the archetype of solving an internal problem of invisible life situations, by which we were pushed into a corner, and forced to find a solution. This pursuit enriches the life experience. Archetype expresses the search of the path towards oneself by gradual visual purification, with the escalation of transparency, adding the metaphor of jellyfish, bird and flight ...

    Avtorica je želela izraziti misli o neskončnosti sveta, povezanega z vidnim, nevidnim ter zabrisan-im v medčloveških odnosih in zaprekah življenja. Razmišljanje je izrazila s stiliziranimi cvetovi in sipinami, ki jih je s stopnjevanjem od čiste, jasne grafičnosti do večje zabrisanosti, ki se nadaljuje v neskončnost, preko meja okvirja in daje posamezniku možnost individualne interpretacije.

    Author wanted to express thoughts about the infinity of the world, associated with the visible, invis-ible and blurred interpersonal relations and obstacles of life. She visually expressed this meditation with the stylized flowers and dunes, by escalation from the clear graphics to greater blur, which continues into infinity, beyond the frame, giving the possibility to an individual interpretation.

    Tekstilna formacija ponazarja proces osebnih intimnih zgodb. Delo avtorju pomeni prikaz oseb-nega razvoja in čustvenega napredovanja, ki se navezuje na simboliko lisice (jap. “kitsune”) kot prenašalca informacij, čuvaja pred zlim. Vključuje lastnosti natančnosti, hitrosti razmišljanja, prila-godljivosti, modrosti, zvitosti, strasti, želnosti, izraznosti in intenzivnosti.

    The textile formation illustrates intimate personal stories. The artwork represents for the author an instru-ment for expression of his personal development and emotional progression, which is linked to the symbol-ism of the fox (jap. “kitsune”), as transmitter of information and guardian against evil. It includes properties of accuracy, speed of thinking, flexibility, wisdom, slyness, passion, eagerness, expressiveness and intensity.

  • RazsvetljenjeEnlightenment

    Problematika prikritega kaosa v medsebojnih odnosih, ki vlada v svetu, je predmet likovno-tekstilne predstavitve. V tekstilni formaciji je avtorica postopno, s predstavitvijo stiliziranih človeških figur in njihovih spreminjajočih prepletov, velikostnih razmerij in barve, predstavila možnost reševanja problematike z odmikom od zunanjega sveta ter soočanjem in večjim stikom samega s seboj.

    The chaos in relationships, which reigns in the world, is the subject of the textile presentation. The author presented a possible solution to this problem, with the presentation of stylized human figures and their gradually changing splices, size and color relationships. She presented the possible solution by proposing shifting from the outside world, and confronting oneself, increasing contact towards oneself.

    Kolekcija je nastala z namenom, da odkrije in ohrani zgodbe, ki bodo kmalu izginile. Poskuša ohraniti smisel in graciozno eleganco tistih časov, vendar svojo podobo širi s svežim pridi-hom, kompleksnejšimi materiali in spremenjenimi kroji, ki so v soskladju z današnjim hitrim časom, ko nimamo več toliko časa posvečati se naravi, bližnjim, in konec koncev, sebi.

    The collection was created with the aim to reveal and preserve stories that will soon disappear. The collec-tion is attempting to maintain the sense and graceful elegance of those times, but it expands its appear-ance with a fresh touch, more complex materials and changing patterns that are in harmony with today’s fast time when we do not have so much time devoted to nature, loved ones, and ultimately, ourselves.

    Kolekcija temelji na raziskovanju afriških plemen in njihove samoiniciativnosti pri ust-varjanju njim estetskih stvari. Avtorica je ustvarjalnost njihovega sveta želela pretvoriti v evropski moderni svet s posebnim poudarkom na iskanju tistega elementa, ki bi izpostavl-jal njegovo neobičajnost ter v končnem izdelku priklical vzdušje afriškega sveta.

    The collection is based on the research of African tribes and their initiative in creating them aesthetic belongings. The author wanted to convert the creativity of their world into the European modern world with special emphasis on finding those elements that expose the unusual and evoke the “African atmosphere” in the final product.
