CCHA Overview
CCHA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization Managed by a Board of Directors
• Elected by the association members• Meets third Monday of each month (Vic Rec Center)• Meetings are open to the association membership

CCHA Mission
The Chaska Chanhassen Hockey Association (CCHA) believes in creating an environment which fosters the skill development of all CCHA players with an emphasis on fair play and the pure enjoyment of the game by its players. It will, to the best of its ability, be fair in team selections, ensure the quality of its coaching staff, and foster a balance between playing and winning. This program is created to stress sportsmanship, friendship, goodwill, strong values, and cooperation within its membership.

Coaching Requirements
Register online CCHA website New: Background Screening process (on-
line) New: On-line 5 hour age specific coaching
module for level you are coaching New: No CEP card collection – Now
tracked on-line Must be current by Dec. 1st

CCHA Code of Conduct
• Code of Conduct forms are required for every role:– Coach; Parent & Player– Players, coaches, parents and spectators are to conduct
themselves in a manner that "honors the Game" and demonstrates respect to other players, coaches, officials, parents and spectators.
– Playing hockey in the CCHA is a privilege, not a right.
• All Code of Conduct forms will be collected by your team manager once the teams are formed
SafeSport New position: SafeSport Coordinator is
required by USA Hockey, MN Hockey & D6
CCHA will adopt Locker Room Supervision Policy
NON-COMPLIANCE- will result in team suspension from games, along with fines
Team manager will discuss how this can be implemented for your specific team

We depend on volunteers to keep our association running smoothly

StormHawk Awards
The mission of the “StormHawk” Awards program is to recognize Squirt, PeeWee, Bantam, Junior Gold, U10, U12, and U14 student athletes with a “B” (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) average during the school period concurrent with the hockey season (November-January).
Eligible recipients will be invited to the StormHawk Awards Ceremony and each participant will be individually recognized.
Your team manager will administer this program with the StormHawk Award committee in January.

Tryout - Logistics
MUST BE PAID IN FULL (or on payment plan) to get on ice
Use your “secret” or “web” number and check web - left tab has tryouts
Scrimmages will be posted on web and times may change slightly
Final teams posted 1-2 days after try outs Opt out to C team is available Reminder - No AAA jerseys, socks or
stickers on helmets allowed. Only CCHA colors and stickers.

Tryouts / Evaluations
• Impartial Evaluators• Evaluators select the teams• Hockey knowledgeable• May have private hockey ties• May not have coaching or instructional relationship with
players in the pool they are to evaluate• Tryout Team: 5 eval, 6 HDC, Commish, Admin,
Exec• 100 players on a 100 point objective scale
• Scores can cluster• One great or poor session may make a difference
• Placement -- Two winning environments• Play up – stretch to fit in, healthy, one team chemistry
key• Play down – leader, influencer of outcomes • Ideally both environments should be experienced

Brick City TournamentThanksgiving Weekend (Fri-Sun)
• Arguably becoming the BEST tourney in the Metro• Doubled the size 2013 / +4 more PWC Teams this year• Both CCC and VRC locations utilized• It takes over 1500 volunteer hours to run tourney• Asking that each participating CCHA team is
required to full-fill 21 hrs. (7 shifts).Concessions, Welcome Desk, Clock, Penalty Box, Announcing/Music.
• IF A PARTICIPATING CCHA TEAM WORKS 40+ VOLUNTEER HOURS AND PROVIDES A BASKETFOR THE SILENT AUCTION, EACH PLAYER ON THAT TEAM WILL RECEIVE THEIR BRICKCITY T-SHIRT FOR FREE (VALUE $20 per shirt).
