To authorize the use of Ebola funds for Zika response and

preparedness.

 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,2

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.3

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Zika Response and4

Safety Act of 2016’’.5

SEC. 2. AUTHORIZATION TO USE EBOLA FUNDS TO FIGHT6

ZIKA.7

(a) A UTHORIZATION.—In addition to the purposes8

otherwise provided for Ebola funds made available in prior9

appropriation Acts, such funds may also be used for Zika1

 virus response and preparedness.2

(b) EBOLA  FUNDS DEFINED.—For purposes of this3

section, the term ‘‘Ebola funds’’ means amounts made4

available to any Department or agency for Ebola response5

and preparedness.6
