Flanking sequences of Tal1 terminal sequences often matches internal sequence of Tal1, suggesting nested integrations. The integration positions were determined using the flanking 20nt that were 100% identical to Tal1. Blue and red arrows indicate Tal1 insertions in two lines of wild-type and two lines of ddm1 mutants, respectively. Top and bottom arrows indicate insertions with 5’ to 3’ and 3’ to 5’ orientations of Tal1, respectively. Insertions into two LTRs were not distinguished, resulting in twice-overrepresented insertions there.
