preventive maintenanceand cleaninginstructions

The pressurised SF6 gas inside thepole retains all its dielectric propertiesafter breaking.Electrical endurance is limited bycontact wear. This wear depends onhow the equipment is used.We would like to draw your attentionto the dangers of cleaning byhigh---pressure spraying with solvent.

The main problems related to thisprocedure are as follows: H damage due to the pressure ofthe spray and the fact that it isimpossible to re---grease theinaccessible fastening points. H risk of over ---heating due tosolvent on the contact zones. H removal of the special protectivecoatings.

CAUTION

Never use solvents.

If the insulating elements aredusty you are advised to dustthem using a dry cloth.

Disconnect the tester.Very slowly close the circuit breakeruntil the end---of---charging click isheard.

Place the rings on the crankspindles, right and left.

CAUTION

Mount without greasing. Do notscratch the teflon coating on therings. Place the right and left spring guideson the spindles, ensuring they arecorrectly in position in the groove onthe spindle.

Push the button, the device should open.

Place the right crank ring in theopening of the right spring guideusing the charging handle. Continue charging, placing the springguide in the correct position in thegroove on the left crank ring.

CAUTION

Do not scratch this Teflon---coated ring.

Press the button. The device should open.


Place the rings on the crankspindles, right and left.

CAUTION

Mount without greasing. Do notscratch the teflon---coated rings. Place the right and left spring guideson the spindles, ensuring they arecorrectly in position in the groove onthe spindle.

Do not grease this Teflon---coated ring A.

Place the right crank ring in theopening of the right spring guideusing the charging lever. Continue charging, placing the springguide in the correct position in thegroove on the left crank ring.

SF6 gas recovery at theend of service life conformity rules

This equipment contains SF6which must be removed before dismantling. The gas must beremoved in accordance with the procedures described in IEC61634 and by following theinstructions below. The gas mustbe processed in compliance withIEC 60480.
