His biographer Shiekh Yaqoob Alira in his biography writes an unusual incident about the Promised Messiahas. He writes that when the Promised Messiahas was a really young child he told a very young girl (who was his relave) who later became his wife to pray for him ‘Pray for me that that may God grant me Namaz.’

ThisThis story from his early childhood tells us the emoons that were burning in his heart from childhood. The focus of all his wishes had turned towards God alone.

Welcome toTahirMagazine

As always, feel free to contact myself and the Editorial team at any me and please pray that this publicaon can go on for many more years and inspire future generaons of Aal. Insha’Allah.

On my tour of regions across the UK and at the recent Naonal Ijtema in Islamabad, I have had the chance to see and meet most of the Aal in country. I have been very impressed with the levels of good behaviour and tarbiyyat amongst all of you. This year’s Naonal Ijtema showed off the talent of our dynamic Majlis as all Aal competed and parcipparcipated together with fairness, tolerance and brotherhood. This good conduct is due to us all being brought up as Ahmadi Muslim Children and that we are fortunate to have Huzuraba living so close to us. All Aal in the UK should pray to Allah that He connues to shower His blessings on us and to also thank Allah for the good fortune of living in the same ccountry as Huzuraba.

Over the past year, I have seen the impact that the Tahir Magazine has had across the nation on Atfal of all ages. Whenever I meet Atfal and discuss the Tahir Magazine with them, the level of interest shown has been excellent.

You should always remember an important point. Children who are ten, twelve or thirteen oen have a great relaonship with the Jama’at and with their Majlis. They come to meengs and perform dues.

II get leers from many parents that my child has turned fieen and sixteen and I don’t know what has happened to him. My child has started to go to high school and has made friends with other boys from outside. He does not pay aenon to Salaat, does not pay aenon to Jama’at work and does not obey his parents at home. home.

This is to some extent the parents’ fault and probably is their fault to a degree. Children should remember that if you do not act on these things then how will you take over the

responsibility of the Qiadat, the leadership of the Jama’at.

Children who are ten or twelve and possess understanding should remember especially that when they turn fieen and enter Khuddamul Ahmadiyya your preferences should not change.

YYou should connue to keep a strong relaonship with the Jama’at and a strong relaonship with Aalul Ahmadiyya.

YYou should keep such a relaonship with your parents and the members of your household such that we can see the difference between an Ahmadi and a non-Ahmadi. There are many children who watch too much television and use the internet excessively.

Page 9: Tahir Magazine - Summer 2012

I oen ask about this. Children can watch decent cartoons on TV. Cartoons are oen decent. They should watch them for half an hour, an hour, or at most for one hour and fieen minutes a day.

ThThey should not spend their whole day off each Saturday and Sunday watching television from morning to night.

TheirTheir mother may call them to eat food and they ignore her. She asks them to do something and they ignore her. They connuously watch television. In English, this behaviour is called a craze. It is as if their mind has been affected and they sit in front of the television all day.

ChildChildren who are fourteen or fieen years old start using the internet. If their parents are not well aware of the internet and have not blocked certain sites then the children may visit the wrong websites.

ThenThen all the training that parents, the Jama’at and the auxiliary organisaons have done is wasted.

You should always remember that when your elders tell you something, it is always for your benefit and out of sympathy to you.

ThThey do not say it to hurt you. Do not think that since we have freedom in this country we can do whatever we want. We are fourteen or fieen years old and are educated. Our parents have no educaon in comparison. That generaon is “fading away”.

TheThe people who have been seled here for the last twenty-eight or thirty years are well educated. Even then new generaons have this thought when they reach their teenage years that they (alone) are intelligent and everyone else is stupid.

InIn truth the stupid person is the one who on listening to good advice does not act on it and does not follow the advice of his elders. Your elders will always advise you for your benefit.

NNew research has come out which has shown that the constant watching of television or using the internet does not only affect the eyes but also the mind. Some people’s mental powers are disabled to a great extent because of this.

IfIf you are stopped from doing certain things then stop doing them. If you are going to use the internet then look at those sites that will benefit you or educate you, for example Encyclopaedias or other informave sites.

SmallSmall children should not go on the internet anyway. I am speaking about the usage of the internet to Aal who are fourteen or fieen years old.

we are presenting a series of incidents

for all Atfal to learn from the life of

AND HIS SON IN QADIAN

But immediately he pulled himself together and connued his effort to hypnoze the Promised Messiahas. Very soon, however, he shrieked, and ran out of the Mosque, down the steps and into the street.

WhenWhen some people saw him running out in scared and frightened they followed him, to find out what the maer was.

They caught up with him in the street outside and aer he had

calmed down, he related that he was an expert hypnost and that he had intended to bring the Promisedas under his influence, making him do something which should expose him and disgrace him in the eyes of those present.

But, he said, that while he was trying to hypnoze the Promised Messiahas, he saw a lion standing before him. He was terrified by this, but immediately he reassured himself that this must be some hallucinaon on his part and carried on his efforts.

ThenThen he saw this lion coming toward him fast. This made him tremble with fear, but again he pulled himself together and connued his aempt.

ThenThen he saw this lion coming toward him fast. This made him tremble with fear, but again he pulled himself together and connued his aempt.

At this stage he saw the lion pouncing upon him, which terrified him to such an extent that he forgot everything and ran to save his life.

ThisThis shows the amount of love that God had for the Promised Messiahas that no person could aack him mentally or physically as he was under the divine protecon of God.

ThisThis is an example in the history of Ahmadiyyat and Islam which shows us that if we also love God and believe in him He will also protect us from all harm.

As my clients are oen unable to speak English I have to find different ways and means of com-municang in order for me to take instrucons from him and offer advice.

The court room is a very tense place as my client usually only has one chance to explain his story, and having to represent him during this me is very tough indeed. Whilst talking to the Judge I have to maintain eye contact to see if he agrees with my argument, if not I have to chance my strategy in a second. Ulmately the client shouldshould feel sasfied that I have represented him fully.

Court hearings can last for three hours, with no break! The court hearing lasts around 3 hours. My client and his story is challenged by the Home Office lawyer and I have to defend every argument while the Judge listens to everything. Then the Judge asks quesons which I have to reply to. I help the Judge to understand the case clearlyclearly so that he can arrive at the best decision based on the evidence provided, so that jusce can be done.

The truth is the only concept which keeps us as humans, believers and muslims; without the truth we would not be able to live in harmony with others.

HHowever, the concept of truth is misunderstood by many, telling the truth or being truthful means to state the facts or reality of life and never to deny reality as you see it in the world.

MaMany of you reading this may realise the link between the truth or reality and science; science is an exercise which deals with a person known as a scienst looking at the underlying reality of the universe and trying to uncover and understand it.

UndeUnderstanding the universe and how it works allows a person to see reality, which then allows them to see the truth. Then they can describe the reality of the universe to another person this means they are speaking or telling the absolute truth.

UndeUnderstanding this I would like to go into the field of science and uncover the underlying truth of humans and the universe so I can become among the few who understand and speak the truth.

ThisThis will take many years and night aer night, day aer day, second aer second, I will learn and study science and the world; only then will I know the truth and have the capability to speak it.

17 The Holy Prophetsa

have you ever wondered what the

Page 23: Tahir Magazine - Summer 2012

His companions described him as neither very tall nor excessively short, but a man of medium size. We can compare this to the height of Hadhrat Umarra, the second Khalifa who stood a full head’s length taller than most men when stood in a group!

OtherOther features of the Holy Prophetsa are that he had a large forehead, and had slightly curly thick hair, which reached his earlobes. His beard was thick and the length was just slightly longer than if it was held in a fist under the chin.

HisHis mouth was broad with a full set of teeth; for a person to have all their teeth at that me was not common because people did not have the habit of personal cleanliness or all of the different types of cleaning products and access to densts that you have.

HHowever, the Holy Prophetsa was very strict about keeping his teeth very clean and would clean them very regularly throughout the day.

The Holy Prophetsa had a broad chest, and he walked in a dignified manner. He always kept his eyes lowered to the ground.

WhenWhen he disliked something, he turned his face away, and when he was happy he half closed his eyes. His laughter was mostly a broad smile.

His companions stated that they did not see anyone who smiled more the Holy Prophetsa.

Hadhrat Alira the fourth Khalifa, relates about the Holy Prophetsa:

THE CAVE HIRA, WHERE THEQUR’AN WAS FIRST REVEALED

Page 24: Tahir Magazine - Summer 2012

Who wants to be dirty? Don’t people look at you funny if you’re smelly and sweaty? Is it fun to have your parents always telling you to clean up all the mess in your room?

WWell, luckily for you as a Muslim these things probably never happen, and is it your job to make sure it stays like that. As a member of Aalul Ahmadiyya you shouldn’t have much concern for what people think or say about you, but instead you should love to follow what Allah says.

InIn the Holy Qur’an Allah says to you that, ‘Allah... loves those who keep themselves clean’ [2:223].

I think this is enough reason to make a big change in how much you make sure that you are the cleanest person.

TTo have Allah love you is the most important thing that you can do as a Muslim, and isn’t this a really easy way to achieve this? So look at your body, look at your clothes, look at your room, look at your house.

WhWhat can you do right now to make sure that these are the cleanest that they can be?

So if you were there, give yourself a pat on the back. If you weren’t there this me, we’ll be hoping to see you there at next year’s event!

ItIt seems that the advice given in the previous edion of the Tahir magazine was prey good because this year, the top fundraising Tifl man-aged over £900!! Alhamdulillah!

TheThe most excing this is that now we have to aim to go even faster, even bigger and to raise even more money for charity next year Insha’Allah!

The Aal Footbal League started in January 2012, with Mohtamim Aal, Nasir Khawaja sahib, at the opening match.

TheThe venue was chosen to be the Wandle Centre in Wandsworth. This proved to be a huge bonus for the Aal as the Khuddam league was running simultaneously which enabled the Aal to see what they could expecng once they turn Khadim.

TheThe first match took place on the 14th January 2012. In this Football League 11 teams parcipated across the London Regions with Aal aged mainly between 12 and 15. All the Aal showed admirable team spirit and discipline throughout the league.
