Tales of Andy Mitrakul

As a man once said, to become one with yourself you must believed in fate because everything was destined. When god shuts the door, he opens a window, and the window shall leads you the perfect road. Believe in god and yourself, nothing is impossible. Today, Im just fancied to tell you a story of a successful doctor and it was indeed happened in Thailand. Not a love story, neither action nor adventure, just a story that had inspired me and contains a lot of moral fibers.

Andy was a very smart kid and he had a very wealthy family background but he never appreciate for anything that has been given by his family, nor the god. He was lazy and arrogant, never use his intelligent quotient wisely and always bullied the poor. His mother always taught him to be nice, be humble and be kind, though he never listen what his mother had said. Andys father, Mongkhun was a prosperous businessman, involved in the plantation of herbs and spies. Mongkhun is a workaholic, he thought his career should came first. However it was his wife, Janninaw that looked after Andy ever since he was born. Perhaps Janninaw was not good at educating her child, because Andy was their only child, they gave Andy whatever he wanted, resulting Andy never had a good behavior.

One day, when Mongkhun traveled to China for exporting his products, their cargo ship was wrecked. Nobody survived that tragedy, neither Mongkhun. Andy and his mother were depressed and subdued, because they had lost the only source of finance support. They sold their bungalow, dismisses the servants and try save more money as possible to maintain their life. Fortunately that Andy had grown that time as well as his mind was matured. His father left some saving for him but it will not last longer. Andy was interested in paramedic, he decided to use the saving for his further study. Janninaw worked as a hawker that sold fried noodles to maintain their further life. Andy changed his attitude, not as bad as his past and be nice to Janninaw because he knew his mother was the only closest people he had.

One day, Janninaw was sicked and she cannot afford to purchase a medicine because it was too expensive. Andy took the risk to steal the painkiller and liquid medicine from the mini mart. The owner caught him for his thievery and tried to hand him over to the police. Prayut was a hawker that sold vegetable soup in front of the mini mart. He had a sympathy on Andys plight and he knew that Andys action was to help his mother because he did not have other option. Prayut paid for the item that Andy had stolen and gave him 2 pack of vegetable soup. Andy was touched by Prayuts help, he thanked for Prayuts help and he said he would return the favor for him.

Unfortunately, Janninaw died after the fever due to the insufficient rest and the saving was totally spent. Andy was completely mad and dishearten, he blamed the god for taking everything away from him, including his parents. But Andy promised his mother that he would be strong and never give up. Andy decided to sell goodsell goods from door to door to pay his way through school. One day he was hungry and decided that he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door, it was Prayuts daughter because her face looked so much like her father. Instead of a meal, he asked for a glass of water. She thought he looked hungry, so she brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly and then asked, How much do I owe you? You dont owe me anything, she replied and added. Father has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness. He then thanked Prayuts daughter from his heart. As Andy left that house, the act of kindness made him feel stronger physically. He had been ready to give up and quit. Now his faith in God and man had further strengthened.

He grew up to become a doctor.

Years later, Prayut was fainted while selling vegetable soup, he went into coma and her daughter was told that Prayut got a huge tumor inside his brain. The local doctors could not help him because the surgery was to risky. Prayut was sent to the big city ,where they called in the specialists to study his rare tumor. Dr Andy was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately, he went in to see Prayut. He recognized him at once as well as his daughter but she was crying because she afraid she would have lost her father and the medical bill was costly. Though she has not recognized Dr. Andy yet.

Dr. Andy went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save his life. After a long struggle, the battle was finally won. The tumor was removed and Prayut survived . Dr Andy requested the accounts office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, and then wrote something on the corner and the bill was sent to his room.

When the bill was sent to Prayuts daughter, she feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these wordsPaid in full with 2 packs of vegetable soup and one glass of milk.
