Reading :
Many people in America now think that
teachers give students too much homework. They say that it is unnecessary for children to
work at home in their free time. Moreover, they
agree that most teachers do not properly plan the
homework tasks they give to students. The resultis that students have to repeat tasks which they
have already done at school.
Most people agree that homework is unfair.
A student who can do his homework in a quietand comfortable room is in a much better position
than a student who does his homework in a small
noisy room with the TV on.

Dear Uncle THAI,
Our class is planning to have visit to a factory in the
local area as part of our technology lesson. I am writing to
ask you for permission to visit your computer factory as it isnear our school so we can go by bicycle. Forty-five
members of our class will arrive at your factory at 7.30 on
Monday, 22nd October, 2008.
Would you be so kind to recommend someone whocan give us a three-hour tour around the factory? We
would so much like to know how computers are made and
we would also like to talk with the workers there. We hope
that you will create favorable condition for us to have an
interesting and useful visit to your factory. .We are looking forward to receiving your reply soon.
