Wales Rural Network

The purpose of the Wales Rural Network is to:

• Group together the organisations and administrations involved in rural development in Wales;

• To facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge; Transfer knowledge on best practice

• Support the implementation and evaluation of rural development policy;

• Secure and coordinate the flow of information between the local, national and European levels.

Key Tasks

• Identify and disseminate examples of good practice

• Support for inter-territorial and transnational cooperation

• Establish and support Thematic Groups

• Support cross-axis working within the RDP

• Provide support, information and training to Local Action Groups

• Set up of website, database and partner search facilities

• Play a key role in the establishment of the UK Rural Network; feed into EU Network
