The Iditarod is a sled dog race in Alaska. If you do it you will have a hard time because you have to run up the hills next to the dogs to get less weight on the sleds so the dogs can make it up faster. The wind blows hard in your face so hard that you can barely see it is really hard and it would take years and years of practice.

Dogs have to pull sleds and when they do they have to wear booties so they don’t hurt their paws. If one or more dogs get hurt or sick, another set of dogs can come in.
