Tips on Filling up the Data Collection Booklet

General

• This data collection booklet seeks data in respect of the academic year 2007-08

• Data sheets must be filled up with extreme care. Corrections if any, must be attested. Additional sheets, if required, may be downloaded from http://www.kshec.kerala.gov.in and stapled inside the booklet at the appropriate place

• Fill up the sheets in BLOCK CAPITAL LETTERS

• Write “N” if valid data is Not Available

• Write “NA” if the category is Not Applicable

• Verify the accuracy of the data provided in the data collection sheets before submission. The Programme Officer should put his full signature and seal in every page, from page 5 onwards, in the space provided

• The Head of the institution should put his/her counter signature along with his/her name and the seal of the institution on page 11 and on Appendix-V in the spaces provided.

• A copy of the calendar/ diary of the Institution for the year 2007-08 must be submitted along with the filled in booklet before 10..02..2008 to the Programme Co-ordinator

• Item 1&2: Use one box for each character

• Item 3&4: Put a √ in appropriate box

• Item 5 : Name of the district , post office and PIN code should be written in the boxes provided for them

• Item 6 &7 : Write STD code first and then the telephone number



• Item 8 : Write the complete web address, e.g. http://www.kshec.kerala.gov.in

• Item 9: First part of the e-mail address on left side and second part on right side of the ‘@’ symbol. E.g. [email protected]

• Item 10 &11: Use one box for each character

• Item 12: The format for date is dd/mm/yyyy. E.g. 07/01/2008 for January 7, 2008.

• Items 13 & 14 : Put a √ in appropriate boxes

• Item 15(a) : Write year in yyyy format

• Item 16 : Put a √ in appropriate boxes

• Item 17 : Appendix I - Write subsidiary subjects only if relevant

• Item 18: Appendix II - Workload as per student strength on 01/11/2007. Only workload of aided courses including courses sanctioned between 1998-2001 need be included. Workload of self-financing courses should not be included

• Item 19: Appendix III - For designation use L for Lecturer , LSS for Lecturer Senior scale , LSG for Lecturer Selection Grade, R for Reader. Other designations must be written in full

• Item 20: Appendix IV - Name of Course – E.g. BA/BSc/BCom/BBA/BCA/MA/MSc/MCom etc.

• Item 21: Consolidated number of students in the year 2007-08 for UG & PG courses

• Item 22: Write the number of students from other states and countries, if any

• Item 23: Only libraries with computerized catalog and issue system need be classified as computerized library. Put a √ in appropriate box
