In presenting the award, CAJE, who admin- isters the award for Targum Shlishi, described Mrs. Zeev as “a highly respected, innovative educator who collaborates with her colleagues in all departments to integrate Hebrew language throughout the school…” It is an honor for us at LCDS to have Ayala as our colleague. The Other Big Event in the Nation’s Capital Seventh graders are counting down the days (29!) till they board a flight for Washington, DC and set off for four education-packed days—from March 29 through April 1—of touring Capitol Hill, studying at the Smith- sonian Institution and the U.S. Holocaust Museum, and visiting the National World War II Memorial, among other activities. Super CampNewSummerCamp2009ProgramsBallet/CreativeArtsStudioRequirements: Open to children entering Toddlers and Nursery. Under the supervi-sion of Ms. Gigi, campers will be taught the beginning steps of ballet. Other activities will include: Yoga, Art, Water Play, and daily theme based activities. There is an additional fee of $300.00 for a session, or $500.00 for 6 weeks. Space is limited and open to the first 12 campers.

SportsCampRequirements: Child must be entering Nursery or Pre-K. Campers will be taught the fundamentals of Soccer, T-ball, and Basketball. Coach Aaron will be instructing and supervising on a daily basis. Additional fee of $350 for 6 weeks. Pre-K Campers enrolled in sports camp will not be able to participate in Jr. Adventure Camp. Space is limited and open to the first 12 campers

InstructionalSwimAcademyRequirements: Child must be entering Pre-K or K. Instructional swim by certified swim instructors on a daily basis. Campers will also be participating in all the activites that Junior Adventure Camp offers. There is an additional $300.00 per session or $500.00 for 6 weeks. Space is limited and open to the first 12 campers.

Middle School Car Wash Wed, March 4 to raise money for our Washington, DC trip!

Proceeds also will be used to begin a scholarship fund for our rising 7th

graders’ trip to Washington next year!
