華西村原有 80 戶， 1520 人，面積 0.96 平方公里，在 60 年代稱為華西大隊該村書記吳仁寶已成傳奇人物，因他把村落當企業經營，讓這村一下子就富了起來，現成為中國

著名的旅遊景點之一。為擴大景點， 2001 年，華西村和周邊的 16 個村一起組成了大華西村，面積擴大到

30 平方公里，人口也增加到 3 萬多人，現在村民的年平均收入約有 53 萬元台幣，是中國農民平均收入的 40 倍。

網友說，中國真是富的也太富，窮的也太窮，相差也太大了吧

For centuries China stood as a leading civilization, outpacing the rest of the world in the arts and sciences, but in the 19th and early 20th centuries, the country was beset by civil unrest, major famines, military defeats, and foreign occupation. After World War II, the Communists under MAO Zedong established an autocratic socialist system that, while ensuring China's sovereignty, imposed strict controls over everyday life and cost the lives of tens of millions of people. After 1978, his successor DENG Xiaoping and other leaders focused on market-oriented economic development and by 2000 output had quadrupled. For much of the population, living standards have improved dramatically and the room for personal choice has expanded. Hope this affluent village of Huaxi can spread out all over China.
