Librarian of the Week

All of the middle syndicate teachers were joined by the I Have a Dream team during the holidays. We enthusiastically participated in a Comprehensive First Aid course through Red Cross which was over two days. The course went beyond the basics and equipped us to respond to injuries and incidents. We welcome Whaea Tadra to Room 8. She has fitted into the syndicate well and we know with what she has planned her class are going to have an incredible term. School cross country is in week 4 so everyone from the syndicate has been practising each afternoon. We are building up our fitness and stamina through the term in preparation for the big day. Please make sure children bring suitable running clothes to practise in.

To get a prize you just have to raise $10 or more – AND you can also WIN a Samsung Tablet! Some prizes this year include – Go Pros, Samsung tablets, Colony BMX bikes and heaps of other great rewards! Children have been given a Sponsorship Booklet. Please help them to collect money for being part of this fun filled day! A message from the principal of Kamo Intermediate for parents of Year 6 students

"From 2017 onwards, Kamo Intermediate

School will not be taking requests for specific

teachers. This practice has caused some

problems with class balance and structure and

with the roll growth, has proven to be very

difficult to accommodate. Requests will be

considered for the type of teacher who is best

suited for your child (eg; curriculum strength or

personality...) and who your child works well

with or should not be with. This is done by

contacting your child's school so this

information is passed on at our school visits. All

teaching staff at Kamo Intermediate work to a

high standard and students make new friends

very easily. Kind Regards Paul Shepherd

(Principal) and Jo Brown (Deputy Principal)"

Courage What is it?

Courage is doing things even when they are scary or difficult. When we make a mistake, courage helps us to have another go. Sometimes we let fear stop us from achieving the things that are important to us; courage gives us strength and helps us do the things that are right for us to do.
