Objective

Despite its short history as a formal academic discipline, computer science has made a number of fundamental

contributions to science and society which includes “Digital

Revolution”. State-of-the-art research areas in computer

science derived various allied fields like Image Processing,

GIS & Remote Sensing, Microelectronics and its

applications, Data Warehousing and Data mining,Networking and Wireless Technology. The symposium will

highlight the potential and new development in these areas

and is open to explore new areas also. The main objective of

the symposium is to provide a nation forum for meaningful

interaction among Scientists, Engineers, Professionals,

Researchers and Students from all over the country.

Venue: Barrackpore

Barrackpore acquired the name as the site of the first major

military base that was established in 1772 of the British East

India Company. Prior to that time, Barrackpore was known

as Chanak, and is mentioned by that name in the

Manasamangal. Arguably, it is also believed that during the

regime of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, this place has been amajor collection centre of Khajana-Taxes and then it was

named Barbakpur from the name of its Jaigirdar-owner of

land. With time the name changed to Barrackpore.
