The long track record of innovation
At the heart of Germany's first science city, which has recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, you can find a university, two technical colleges, science parks i-iii and the Daimler research centre and numerous renowned institutes.
The economic area of Ulm/Neu-Ulm has formed the following specialist areas and clusters:

Within quick and easy reach
Ulm/Neu-Ulm is centrally located, so there is no way around it when visiting Southern Germany. This is also where the motorways A7 (Würzburg-Füssen) and A8 (Stuttgart-Munich) meet, thus providing an excellent transport infrastructure. This infrastructure also includes impor-tant federal roads coming from the lake of Constance, the Swabian Alps and Swabia as well as from Switzerland and Austria.The twin cities also do well in terms of railway connections: Ulm main station operates ICE, EC, IC, TGV and NZ trains and offers many regional connec-tions to and from abroad.

With its 170,000 inhabitants, the twin cities Ulm/Neu-Ulm rank among Southern Germany's eight largest cities. it is, however, not only the size and the excellent conference facilities that can be very convincing; it is also the very pleasant surroundings: the picturesque historic city centre with its fishermen and tanner quarter, the historical town hall with its astronomical clock, and the proximity to the river. This is complemented by modern elements such as the white townhouse, futuristic buildings in “Neue Mitte”, the new inner city area, and “Wissenschafts-stadt”, which means science city. These are the exquisite surroundings scoring highly with conference participants.
