Our Factories Unilever Indonesia operates modern production facilities in two industrial areas. The Personal Care and Toilet Soap plants are located in Rungkut, an industrial zone in Surabaya, East Java occupying a land of 8.5 hectares. Whilst the NSD, Food, Liquid, Ice Cream and Home Care factories are in Jababeka, Cikarang, West Java spreading in a total of 40 hectares of land. Sales & Distribution Sales and distribution of our products is conducted through 17 sales depots which manage 400 distributors to reach hundreds of outlets nationally. Unilever Indonesia are also sourcing tea, soap, toothpaste, skin products and Wall’s ice cream to New Zealand, Australia, Asian countries, Africa and Latin America. Safety Safety of our people, products and manufacturing process are high on our agenda. DuPont has facilitated executive workshops and training at all levels to launch continuous improvement programme in enhancing safety awareness and ensuring superior performance beyond plain compliance. Corporate Social Responsibility We continuously nurture and grow our people. We energise our people to have a balanced life while meeting the business objectives. We set up a nursery two years ago. Since then, there has been good feedback from mothers who use it. During the festive month, a Day Care Centre is open to Our approach goes beyond consulting and engaging with stakeholders. Through active partnerships, we can combine our expertise in research and development and marketing with our partner’s strengths in distribution or understanding of complex social issues. Unilever Indonesia Care Foundation (Yayasan Unilever Peduli) was established in the year 2000 to strengthen Unilever’s continuous commitment to sustainable development. Community engagement programme is conducted by Unilever Care Foundation in four areas; namely Environment, Public Health Education, Small-Medium Enterprise and Humanitarian Aid. In the implementation of our CSR initiatives, we apply a comprehensive consideration for each of our initiative. Based on the big picture, we start small to make sure it happens. Afterwards, we move fast to replicate or expand it to make a bigger impact on society.     Unilever in Indonesia was established on 5 December 1933 as Levers Zeepfabrieken NV in Batavia. The companys name was changed to PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk in July 1980 and went public on 16 November 1981 listing 15% of its shares on the Indonesian Stock Exchange.

    The companys name was changed to PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk in June 1997. The companys head offi ce is in Jakarta with factories in Cikarang and Rungkut Surabaya. Unilever Indonesia is a subsidiary of Unilever NV/PLC.
