    Tajemstv, hlubok a krsn jako les, zde, v srdci Vclavovch obraz.Na potku. Za devatero horami...

    Pi sledovn Vclavovch maleb nm vyvstvaj na mysli zdrazn n stny a klamn pekrvajc se plny z ranho dla De Chirica. A snad si vzpomeneme na klidn rozptlen sv tlo v Morandiho obrazech. Je Vclav mal-metafyzik zm rn petrvvajc mimo as a prostor, d jiny a skutenost? Nebo je jedno-due malem snovho? Jeho obrazy jsou osobnmi vizemi, dojmy, kter se nm zdaj bt pov dommi. O tomto jsme snad snili o onom bychom snad cht li snt. Je vak jist, e jejich sv tlo, prostor a nlady vyvolvaj nap t, kter je v kadm z ns, ktermu se sname odolvat za dne, ale kter se v noci vrac, aby ns pohltilo o to vce.Tich, nikdy nekonc a neutiiteln nap t. Lhostejnost prody.Slunce vychz, Slunce zapad.

    V ohnisku je prv Slunce ne lov k. Co konme, i nekonme, nen podstatn. Snad Vclav navrhuje, abychom pijali, kdo jsme i m nejsme, abychom pomalu ale rozhodn opustili petvky a konvence, a odevzdali se t d siv ndhee, kter tepe v naich ilch.Skicuje, iveln kresl, potom pracn maluje atmosfry vjevy, kter jako vtr nesou balady dezertr, touhu po jinde, kter um jako d, zkost z potopy, pedstavy o zplav , pn po ztroskotn. Scny tich jako padl list zakrvaj otisky asu, stopy pchy i krky opatrn nalapujcch nik.

    Jak mal ptr v mstech in svch mylenek a vnman, odhleje od pedsudk, vede ns ke (znovu)objeven sn.Nen zde dn hdanka k vyeen. Pouze tajemstv, kter meme milovat.

    Lnigme est l, au coeur des oeuvres de Vclav, profonde et belle comme la fort.Au commencement. Il tait une fois

    Lorsquon regarde ses toiles, on pense aux ombres de rves fuyants, aux plans sechevauchant thtralement dans les premiers tableaux de Chirico, et on se souvient de la lumire calme et diffuse chez Morandi. Vclav est-il un peintre mtaphysique, dlibrment hors du temps, de lespace, de lhistoire et de la ralit?Ou tout simplement un peintre onirique?Ses images sont des impressions intimes, des visions individuelles, mais elle nous semblent familires. Avons-nous aussi rv de ceci? Aimerions-nous rver de cela? Ce qui est certain, cest que la lumire, lespace, les atmosphres cres voquent une tension prsente en chacun de nous, tension que lon tche de combattre ou de nier le jour, mais qui revient la nuit, pour mieux nous envahir...Une tension silencieuse, infinie et inexorable. Lindiffrence de la Nature.Le soleil se lve, le soleil se couche.

    Cest le soleil qui est au centre, pas lhomme, dont lactivit et linertie sont tout aussi futiles. Partant de cette intuition, Vclav nous invite embrasser ce que nous somme et ce que nous ne sommes pas, dserter, lentement mais srement, les faux-semblants et les conventions, capituler devant la beaut terrible qui coule dans nos veines. Il esquisse, dessine frntiquement, puis peint, laborieusement, des atmosphres, des scnes qui murmurent, comme le vent, des complaintes solitaires, des chansons de dserteur, des envies dailleurs; qui chuchotent, comme la pluie, des angoisses de dluge, des fantas-mes de dbordement, des dsirs de naufrage; qui se taisent, comme la neige, recouvrant les empreintes du temps, les traces de lorgueil et des vasions pas de loup.

    Le peintre, abandonnant ses prjugs, enqute mticuleusement sur le lieu du crime de sa pense et de ses perceptions, et nous emmne la (re)dcouverte de nos rves. Il ny a pas de mystre rsoudre, mais une nigme aimer.

    The enigma is here, at the heart of Vclavs paintings, profound and beautiful as the forest. At the begi-nning of all things, once upon a time

    When we observe Vclavs paintings, we might recall the eye-catching shadows and illusive overlapping plans in De Chiricos early work, and think of the quiet, diffused light in Morandis paintings. Is Vclav a metaphysical painter, deliberately outside of time, space, history and reality? Or, simply, a painter of the oneiric?His pictures are impressions, individual visions, that seem familiar to us. We might have dreamt of this, we might want to dream of that. What is certain is that the light, space and atmospheres evoke a tension that exists in all of us, a tension that we try to resist or deny by day, but which comes back at night to swallow us all the more.A silent, infinite and unappeasable tension. The indifference of Nature.The sun rises, the sun sets.

    The sun is at the centre, not Man, and what we do, or dont do, is irrelevant. Vclav might suggest that we embrace what we are and what we are not, that we slowly but surely desert false pretences and conventions, and surrender to the terrible beauty that runs in our veins.He sketches, frantically draws, then laboriously paints atmospheres and scenes, which murmur like the wind, lonely ballads, deserters songs, longing for an elsewhere; which cry like the rain, anxieties of deluge, fantasies of overflow, desires of shipwreck; which stay silent, like fallen leaves covering the imprints of time, the traces of pride, and the steps of a tiptoeing evasion.

    The painter, ever receding from prejudices, meticulously investigating the crime scene of his thoughts and perceptions, leads us towards the (re)discovery of dreams.There is no mystery to solve but an enigma to love.
