Vision Homes Association providesspecialist support or adults who haveone or more o the ollowing conditions:

We have over 20 years’ experience o providingquality services or service users who havecomplex needs. We commit to people – buildingtrusting relationships in a calm, condent way.
We work in partnership with local authoritiesand other organisations, ensuring developmento individually tailored services to help eachperson to make inormed choices and to takeas much control over their own lie as possible.
At the heart o our person-centred service isan understanding o disability and challengingbehaviour. This leads to positive outcomes orservice users and also their amilies.
We support service users to develop valued,interesting liestyles, enabling them to tryout new activities and acilities in a saeand structured way, and ofer a meaningulprogramme o therapeutic activity within thecommunity.

WHAT IS RESPITE CARE?
Respite care is theprovision o short-term,temporary relie to thosewho are caring or amilymembers. The term “shortbreak” is also used todescribe respite care.
Vision Homes Association provides plannedshort-term breaks or amilies and other unpaidcare-givers o adults with multiple disabilitiesand complex needs.
This service can be provided either within theamily home or at our ully equipped residentialaccommodation in Ludlow, South Shropshireand Telord.
Everyone needs a regular break to “re-chargetheir batteries” - whether it is a ew hours aweek to go shopping or to the cinema; orlonger periods o a ew days or weeks to allowor a well-earned holiday away!
For amilies wanting to go away together, wecan provide a member i staf to give the extrasupport that might be needed on holiday.
In all cases, carers can be assured o the bestpossible care and support is being provided.
Respite provides a positive experience orthe person receiving care. At Vision HomesAssociation, all staf are trained to deliver areliable quality service, that specically meetsindividual needs.
We also provide the opportunity or serviceusers to develop and improve their social livesand activities, including:
• Swimming / Hydrotherapy
• Horse-riding / Carriage Driving
• Walking / Going to the Gym
• Arts and Crats (at Loudwater Studio)
• Music Therapy
Vision Homes Association strives to provide“bespoke” services, developed around eachindividual’s needs, aspirations, assessments,and inormation rom key persons in the serviceuser’s lie as well as through person centredplanning.
RESPITE ACCOMMODATION
Vision Homes Association manages 3 registeredcare services on Toll Gate Road in Ludlow,South Shropshire. Each one is well situated orcommunity access, including public transport.
Each bungalow provides continuing careand support or up to 5 adults with multipledisabilities. Most o these places are lled ona permanent basis; however we also ofer arespite/short break service.
The accommodation is wheelchair accessible,with a large comortable lounge/ dining areaand overlooking a sae and secure patio areawith sensory garden. Additional communalareas are available or indoor activities andtherapies i required.
In Telord, accommodation is available in asmaller two-person service.
Every efort is madeto ensure that mealsare nutritious andattractively presented;ully taking intoconsideration individuallikes and dislikes. Weare skilled in supportingservice users who mayneed specialist diets,or example diabetes,
kidney disease and staf are ully trained in PEGeeding.
