E () 1 - THE USE OF SLAG FROM NON-FERROUS METALLURGY FOR PRODUCTION OF DRY SHAKE SURFACE HARDENERS FOR INCREASING OF SURFACE NARDNESS OF CONCRETE PAVEMENTS Ivan Alexandrov Rostovsky Abstract: The dry mixes, which are used for increasing of the surface hardness of concrete and reinforced concrete pavements, are composed of aggregates with suitable granulometric composition, high hardness and wear resistance, binder and chemical admixtures. At exact stage of the execution of the pavements, dry mixes are laid uniformly on the surface of the pavement, after that the surfce is finished by power throweling. During the production of black copper in Eliseyna, the significant quantity slag are obtained. It is characterized by high hardness in it is often used for sand blasting of metal constructions and vessels. Another possible use of the slag is analyzed in the paper for increasing of the surface hardness of the concrete and/or reinforced concrete pavements.
