Speed Light Illumination Light

In the auto/child mode the speed is automatically adjusted according to indoor air quality from Step 1 to Step 4 and at the manual mode from Step 1 to Turbo. The speed light indicates the volume of air being circulated.

If sleep mode and illumination is chosen, the mood Light is turned off. When not chosen, the brightness of the mood light is reduced by half. The Illumination light is always turned off when the other mode is chosen but you can manually control the mood light.

Rhythmic Cleaning Light

This mode efficiently removes indoor pollutants, controlling the volume of air effectively. The mood light switches Blue->Light Purple->Purple->Red.

The mood light is turned on automatically when the unit starts to operate, and the light changes as follows. Auto/Manual: Blue Child: Purple Rhythm: Blue->Light purple-> Purple->Red

Sleep Light

This light indicates that the unit is operating in the quiet night mode.

Child Mode Light

When this mode is chosen, the air speed is automatically controlled. The volume of air is less than at normal times and the light becomes purple.

Air Quality Light

This indicates the present indoor air quality as follows. Very clean: Blue Clean: Light purple Normal: Purple Not clean: Red

This indicates that the unit is operating in auto mode and the light becomes blue.

Display Panel

Power

You can operate the unit manually by pressing the on/off button. However, the unit operates in automatic mode initially. After being manually turned off and on, it operates at the previous mode that you chose.

Speed

You can select Step 1->Step 2->Step 3-> Step 4->Turbo (Then the unit shifts to the manual mode). Auto/Child mode is available from Step 1 to Step 4.

Mode

You can select Auto->Child->Rhythm Mode.

Mood Light

You can manually control the mood light. When the sleep mode is selected, the mood light and illumination are automatically adjusted (Refer to page 25).

[1] Negative IonThe negative ion generator produces a great amount of negative ions, allowing users to enjoy forest-like air.

[2] Filter Case Free/Medium/HEPA/Customized/AC Deodorization filters are installed.

[3] Free Electrostatic FilterThis anti-bacterial filter traps relatively larger particles such as dust, mold, hair, pet hair, and so on.

[4] Medium FilterThis anti-bacterial filter traps particles, mold, and bacteria larger than 1㎛ and protects the HEPA filter.

[5] HEPA FilterThe high-function HEPA filter significantly removes fine particles and cigarette smoke while the anti-bacteria and anti-mold nano-silver and catechin eliminate germs and mold.

[6] Customized FilterUsers can choose from one of the three included customized filters designed for a new house, a house with a child or one with a pet. The filter for a new house eliminates toxic formaldehyde, germs and mold, while the child-health filter removes Legionella, germs, and mold. The pet-health filter traps allergy-causing substances and influenza viruses.

[7] AC Deodorization Filter The granular activated carbon filter, efficient in removing odor and toxic gases, eliminates food odors and unpleasant smells.

4. Turbo Operation

The turbo operation purifies the indoor air in a short time when there’s an excessive amount of dust or odors.

1. Excellent Air Purification

A HEPA filter coupled with nano-silver and catechin, anti-bacteria/mold substances, removes dust and germs in the air and this optimized filter system eliminates pollutants.

2. Strong DeodorizationThe deodorization filter removes harmful gases such as VOCs, formaldehyde, and food/cigarette odor. * Toxic gas removal experiment : Eliminates VOC-type gases (toluene, benzene, xylene, styrene), formaldehyde, ammonia, acetaldehyde, acetic acid {carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide are not removed}.

The negative ion generator produces a great amount of negative ions, allowing users to enjoy forest-like air.

【1】Pre Filter

- Features : Antibiosis material is used. Relatively large size dust, mold, hair, and pet hair are filterer.

【2】Medium Filter

- Material : POLYESTER + Antibiosis coating

- Change : 4 months

- Features : special antibiosis material (monovalence 99.9%, FITI Laboratory) to filter particles and mold larger than 1㎛ and locates front side of HEPA filter to protect HEPA filter performance and lifecycle and improve impinge effectiveness.

- Features : User can choose one type among 3 customized filter types such as For New House, For Kids, and For Pets. All customized filter contains antibiosis and antimold functions and below special features.

① Customized filter for new house

Using white gold catalyst, filter removes effectively

HCHO (formaldehyde) which causes New House Syndrome.

② Customized filter for kids

Legionella which can be easily generated at air conditioner’s

cooling tower or a large size water tank.

③ Customized filter for pets

This filter removes allergy substances caused by pets or pollen. It also

removes influenza virus by filtering.

【5】AC Deodorization Filter

- Material : Stand activated carbon

- Change : 12 months

- Features : Using high performance stand activated carbon, the filter removes

indoor bad and food smell as well as harmful gas very fast.

2. Installation and Instruction

2-1 Caution for Safety

◆ Electricity Safety

● This unit must be plugged into a 220 volt outlet. Do not handle the plug with wet hands.

An electric shock or fire could result

● Unplug the unit before cleaning it.


● If the cord or plug is wet, unplug the unit and let it completely dry before subsequent use.


● Remove any dust or water if it’s on the plug.

* Never use Benzene or gasoline to clean the plug.

◆ Installation Safety

● Do not install the unit in areas where moisture, water (rainwater), or vapors may be present.

● Do not install the unit near heaters or put a candle, cigarette or any other flammable object on it.

● Immediately unplug if the unit makes a strange noise or odd smell.

▶ Preparations

2-2. Preparations and Cleaning

♠ This unit is designed for residential use only.

♠ Medium/HEPA/Customized/AC Deodorization Filters are packed for transport, so remove all packing materials before use.

♠ Lock the case in place first at the bottom of the unit and then at the top.

♠ Attach the free filter to the filter case by aligning the filter with the hooks of the case.

♠ The nonwoven fabric of the customized filter should come toward the front of the unit.

① Pull the bottom of the front cover and lift up. Remove the filter case.

② Remove the packing material of the filters (except the free filter) and load the filters on the filter case in this order: Free->Medium->HEPA->Customized->AC Deodorization.

③ Lock the filter case in place first to the bottom of the unit and then the top. Replace the front cover back onto the unit.

You MUST lock the case to the bottom of the unit first.

♠ This unit is designed for residential use only.

◆ Operating At AUTO Mode -

Press the power button, then the auto mode light goes on while the mood light becomes blue.

① Plug the unit into an outlet.

This appliance only operates at 220v~240V AC

② Press the power button.

③ According to the indoor air quality, the speed shifts from Step 1 to Step 4 automatically.

◆ What is Quiet Night Operation? (When the Auto/Child mode is chosen)

The unit initiates Quiet Night Operation if the surroundings are dark for more than 3 minutes, thereby lowering the speed and minimizing the amount of electricity consumed. The unit resumes the normal operation if the surroundings are brightened.

① The digital sensor detects the brightness of the surrounding area, automatically starting Quiet Night Operation.

② The Quiet Night Operation is set when the auto/child mode is chosen (not the manual mode).

③ The sleep light goes on when the Quiet Night Operation starts. If the illumination is turned off, the brightness of the mood light is reduced by half. The mood light goes off if you turn on the illumination.

◆ Air Quality Sensor

The air quality sensor is set at the standard sensitivity. You may need to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor if the air quality sensor indicates ‘not clean’ even after 2 hours of operation or ‘very clean’even though the air does not seem good

The mood light not only changes color but indicates the current operation mode

▶ Cleaning

! Always unplug the unit before cleaning.

◆ Cleaning the Air Quality Sensor (Every 2 Months)

● *Open the air quality sensor cover on the left side of the unit. Use a wet cotton swab to clean the lens and wipe up any remaining moisture.

◆ Cleaning the Air Intake and Outlet

● * Clean the air intake and outlet with a soft brush

◆ Cleaning the Negative Ion Generator (Every 2 Months)

Be careful not to drop the brush into the unit

● * Use a dry cotton swab to remove dust on the plate.

◆ Cleaning the Lens on the Back of the Front Cover (Every 2 Months)

● Remove the front cover from the unit and use a dry cloth, soft brush, or cotton swab to dust off the mood light on the back of the cover.

Use a wet cloth if necessary but do not use a polisher

◆ Cleaning the Unit

● Use a dry and soft cloth to clean the unit.

◆ Cleaning the Free Electrostatic Filter (Every 2~4 Weeks)

Use a wet cloth if necessary but do not use a polisher

① Pull the bottom of the front cover to remove it from the unit.

Pull the handle of the filter to release it.

② Use a vacuum or water to dust off the filter.

③ Dry the filter completely before attaching it to the filter case. Load the case onto the unit again.

Attach the free filter to the filter case by aligning the filter with the hooks of the case

◆ The frequency of replacing the filter will vary depending on the amount of pollutants in your indoor environment.

2-3. Filter Replacement

◆ Replacing the Medium Filter (Every 4 Months)

① Remove the front cover and detach the medium filter from

the filter case.

② Remove the packing material from the new medium filter. Attach the new filter onto the filter case. Load the filter

case and the front cover.

◆ Replacing the Medium Filter (Every 12 Months)

① Remove the front cover

and detach the HEPA filter

from the filter case.

② Remove the packing material from the new HEPA filter. Attach the new filter onto the filter case. Load the filter case

and the front cover.

◆ Replacing the Customized Filter (Every 6 Months)

① Remove the front cover and detach the customized filter from

the filter case.

② Remove the packing material from the new customized filter. Attach the new filter onto the filter case (The nonwoven fabric of the customized filter should come toward the front of the unit). Load the filter

case and the front cover.

◆ Replacing the AC Deodorization Filter (Every 12 Months)

① Remove the front cover and detach the HEPA filter from the filter case.

② Remove the packing material from the new HEPA filter. Attach the new filter onto the filter case. Load the filter case and the front cover.

Place the filters in the following order (Free->Medium->HEPA ->Customized->AC Deodorization)

Use an additional hanger to install the unit.

<Installation> Place the unit a distance away from walls and ceilings as the picture depicts.

If installed on the wall, the unit could cause contamination of the walls and ceiling. Be careful not to drop the front cover or filter case when replacing the filters. Do not pull on the power cord.

! Drive in the screws of the hanger very tightly so that the unit will not fall off.

5. Main Functions

5.1 Early Power Supply (Operation Waiting Status)

- Display part flickers 2 times for 0.5 seconds interval. It displays [Pollution Display] and others are all off to maintain operation waiting status. Pollution Display shows pollution level at the display part.

5.2 Power Button Switch control and display function

1) Power Switch "Off"

- Buzzer sound (DANG-DONG-DING) is generated and all display parts are off except [Pollution Display], becomes operation waiting status

- Pollution display part is on.

2) Power Switch "On“ (early action) : Buzzer sound (DING-DONG-DANG) generation

① after early power supply, if power switch is on : automatic mode is on

Turn it off during operation and then On again : remember previous mode and operates as previous mode

② Pollution level LED : flickering

when flickering : after 1 level and the level keeps increasing, LED changes each 3 seconds (same for auto/manual) and each 60 seconds depending on pollution state.

③ Level display : wind volume is changed (1 level~4 level, turbo) based on each level.

④ Automatic display : flickering

- at early power on, auto mode is selected and letters are flickering

⑤ Sleeping Mode Display : flickering when sleeping illumination is detected

⑥ Mood lamp operation display : LED color changes based on mode selection

⑦ Power off during operation and on again : operates previous mode before power off

5.3 Purify Operation Switch

1) Wind volume change is available only at manual mode. (Wind volume selection changes any mode to manual mode)

2) Wind volume Switch is pushed repeatedly so that fan motor and display change 1 level → 2 level → 3 level → 4 level → turbo order and then fan rotates after 1 second of wind volume display filters.

5.4 Mode Selection Switch

- Depending on display selection, display repeats auto→kids→rhythm order.

5.7 Sleeping Mode Function (CDS Spec.: HEIMANN company, A90.12 )

1) Mode Change

- Auto/Kids operation mode only can be change to Sleeping Mode.

→ For auto/kids selection, sleeping mode is automatically on. For wind volume selection, sleeping mode operates with wind volume selection.

- Normal Mode → Sleeping Mode : CDS resistance value is under 1 lux for 3 minutes

- Sleeping Mode → Normal Mode : CDS resistance value is over 2 Lux for 5 minutes

- When returning to normal mode from sleeping mode : automatically return

2) Display of Sleeping Mode

- Operation Mode : only normal operation is available without pollution level.

_ Sleeping mode is ON for auto selection function.

- Pollution display and wind volume selection display LED are OFF.

- Wind volume of sleeping mode is maintained as 60% of 1 Level (quite operation, 310rpm).

3) Sleeping Operation Display

- Normal Operation : “Sleeping” display LED OFF

- Sleeping Mode Operation : “Sleeping” display LED ON

- When entering sleeping mode, flickering mood display becomes ½ brightness of each normal mode selection.

-> Currently selected sensor sensitivity display is flickering (on 1 second, off 1 second)

-> at this time, when push wind volume key, sensor sensitivity changes Normal (Kids) -> Insentive (Rhythm) -> Sensitive (Auto) order.

-> after selection of sensitivity, push wind volume/mode selection keys for 2 seconds simultaneously and display part operates normally. (back to normal mode if no button input for 10 seconds)

5.9 Hall Sensor Feedback Input

1) By checking 12 pulse per 1 time from a motor, it controls input motor voltage(0~6.5V) with preset RPM in real time.

2) Rotation RPM is below. (Normal 310, 1 Level 370, 2 Level 440, 3 Level 580, 4 Level 750, turbo 900)

5.10 Self Diagnosis Function

1) Hall sensor Fault

After fan motor speed display, if no Hall sensor feedback signal exists for 5 seconds, all display are off and error is displayed with 1 / 2 level LED flickering for 0.5 second. Restart of fan motor is checked again from OFF -> ON.

2) Fan Motor Rotation Fault

If rotation speed under 100 RPM compared to target RPM is continued for 10 minutes after fan motor speed display, cleaner regards the fault as motor fault or external rotation interruption so that all display is OFF and error is displayed with 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / turbo LED flickering for 0.5 second. All other display are off. If this fault is repaired, check normal operation after power on.

3) Dust sensor open error

Pollution Sensor Display LED flickers for 0.5 second. When re-insertion, normal operation

5.11 Power Failure Function

If power is off during operation and power is back, previous mode before power off is restored.

■ Front Cover Ass'y Disassembling

- Notice : Power must be removed before disassembling.

[Step1] Hold bottom of front cover and pull and lift up the cover

[Step2] Remove 6 bolts on front back cover and push it to OPEN direction

[Step3] Take off lens and lens cover from front cover

[Step4] Remove 4 bolts and bracket

Follow reverse order when reassembling

※ When reassembling, be careful for lens and lens cover attachment. For lens, far part without edge faces to DECO LED and for lens cover, parts without a hole faces to inside.

[Step1] Remove front cover, filter case, base, and rear cover.

[Step2] After removing 1 Power PCB upper cover bolt and power PCB upper cover, separates related cable connectors.

[Step3] Remove 1 Power PCB Ass'y bolt and separates Power PCB Ass'y. Reverse order is applied when reassembling.

※ When reassembling, insert 2 hooks of power PCB lower cover into 2 spots of fan guide edge hole and then push up such as slide. Finally fasten with a bolt.

[Step5] Remove 2 main PCB bolts and then separates main PCB. Reverse order is applied when reassembling.

[Step6] Separates 2 key PCB related cable connectors from PCB.

[Step7] Remove 3 bolts on left side of fan guide and 1 on external side.

[Step8] Remove key PCB from filter guide. Reverse order is applied when reassembling.

[Step2] Remove nut fitted to motor and spring washer(와샤) and then separates fan from motor.

[Step3] Remove 3 bolts on motor guide cover.

[Step4] Using – type screwdriver, insert the screwdriver front side of cover and then remove 2 hook by lifting up the screwdriver to separate motor cable cover.

[Step5] Remove 1 power PCB bolt and then power PCB upper cover.

[Step6] Remove motor cable connector from Power PCB and then separates motor. Reverse order is applied when reassembling.

■ Pollution Level Detection Sensor Change

[Step1] Remove pollution level detection sensor and related cable connectors from main PCB.

[Step2] Remove pollution level detection sensor from fan guide hook. Reverse order is applied when reassembling.

■ Negative Ion Fin Case and Fin/Fan Change

[Step1] Remove front cover, filter case, base, and rear cover from product.

[Step2] Remove 4 fan guide bolts and related cable connectors and separates fan guide.

[Step3] After turning over fan guide, remove 2 bolts related to negative ion fin case to separate fin case.

[Step4] If removing negative ion fin case, negative ion fan is connected to fan guide and negative ion fin is connected to fin case. Remove cables connected to fin/fan and then separates fin/fan by removing 2 bolts. Reverse order is applied when reassembling.

※ When separating fin/fan, use things like a gimlet for easy separation.

■ High Pressure Generator Change


[Step2] Remove negative ion fin case and separate fin/fan cables and then remove 1 level cables related the pressure from hook.

[Step3] Remove cable connectors related to High Pressure Generator from main PCB.

[Step4] Remove the pressure by undoing 1 bolt. Reverse order is applied when reassembling.

[Step1] Reverse order is applied when reassembling.

[Step2] Remove 4 fan guide bolts and related cable connectors and then separates fan guide.

[Step3] Remove DECO LED PCB fitted to filter guide by undoing 1 bolt. Reverse order is applied when reassembling.
